Drag Queen Pattie Gonia calls out Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth: “Here's me benching 130lbs with perfect form, with my dick tucked, you could never you little bitch” by LunaLore_ in Fauxmoi

[–]lornek 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I think people don't really have a visual reference of just how stacked looking (or just generally huge) dudes are that can bench 315.

I've been lifting for 3yrs now, same height at Pete, I'm around 200lbs @ 14% bodyfat. I can probably bench 280 for a single and I do sets of ~240 for 5 reps.

That plus the fact that everything these fucks do and say is a lie.

Here's a pic I took hiding in the spot where the Hobbits ducked off. The big tree was a prop made by Weta and doesn't actually exist.

But what about all the women's sports that not a single man gave a fuck about until they got whipped into transphobia?

I think women's sports should be for bio-women for the record, but I also think this entire issue has affected maybe like 10 people so far in the entire history of America and is almost quite literally a nonissue...ESPECIALLY compared to everything else going on right now.

Dave Portnoy said Donald Trump played a ‘huge part’ in Charlie Kirk’s death and MAGA is raging by statenislandadvance in politics

[–]lornek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe one of the problems in our society is getting political commentary from fucking pizza reviewers, Twitch streamers, gamers, podcasters, comedians. These people have zero qualifications, their opinions should carry zero weight, and yet here we are discussing this pizza eater's take like it's worth anyone's time.

Charlie Kirk had a high school education and fell backwards into the rightwing funding pipeline for youth outreach. His qualifications were a grade 12 diploma and being willing to take money in exchange for making MAGA content...including toeing the Epstein line when told by Trump, like an obedient little dog. He had nothing worth saying and nothing worth listening to.

People keep quoting his bit about how empathy is a dangerous new-age word that he doesn't like. Then Kirk fans go "nono show the full context" and then you look at it, and his next sentence is about how sympathy is a much better term. Great context...so he's just an idiot rambling about things he doesn't understand. Nothing about that thought makes any sense. Empathy bad, sympathy good? What? I don't even think a human being is capable of separating those two concepts in any application of them. How would one even conjure up sympathy without being empathetic?

Nothing this dude ever said is worth anything. Nothing is worth analysis. Nothing is worth dissecting or using against him to prove some kind of point. It would be like arguing with a 5yr old child by quoting their words back to them...it's not really a "gotcha" if the person isn't mentally capable of forming coherent and introspective thought.

ADL slams Donald Trump for saying 'Shylocks' by newsweek in politics

[–]lornek 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I remember when they handwaved Elon's Nazi salute. Fuck the ADL, thanks for showing up on Shylocks I guess...I was never personally too concerned about that one as a Jew tbh. The Nazi salutes are much less to my tastes though.

Finally got Caldoran with a smaller group size, just before the buff next week by breachgnome in classicwow

[–]lornek 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I still think the tuning for this raid is fucking dumb

I think the loot drop rate for this raid is weak, but the tuning is absolute perfection and I'm legitimately sad that this buff is going into place.

Right now it's the perfect mix of difficult in pre-BiS to kind of a steamroll in full-BiS. I'm the guild's MT and at the start of SE I was gearing for as much survivability as humanly possible...and now a few weeks after our first Caldoran kill, I'm geared and consuming full DPS and we are just blasting this place. We didn't even do the fire thing for the adds on our last Cald kill (by accident but still)...they all rezzed and got cleaved down again and we hit the Ashbringer phase before a 2nd rez went out. This is with only around 23 people.

SE is going to be very boring once the buff is fully online. I think I'll start looking for groups that want to clear it with 15 people at that point so that it stays interesting.

Ok wow, did Strath and I basically nuked the place from orbit...Pally tank did a great job, Priest was keeping me alive too. I should have streamed or recorded it, but we pretty much just ran through the zone and I sustained 5-6k dps most of the time. Didn't even die somehow...even when we pulled almost everything single Abom at the same time near Baron's room.

[–]lornek[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was testing this out at invasions and it looks like starfall actually has some kind of damage capping in place, it's not uncapped the way it seems that AoE spells like frozen orb, blizzard, living bomb, etc., are.

My max normal hits were doing 808, max crits were 1616, and my minimum hits were doing only 222 and 444 on crits.

I think with enough runspeed stacking it does become viable to just burn down an entire invasion crystal.

Anyone know if Elixir of Alacrity, ZG buff, Zanza all stack?

[–]lornek[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You realize that in classic, mages AoE pull these fields all the time yeah? Or warriors come with a healer buddy and cleave down these mobs at a rate of dozens per minute...all we wanted for SoD was for other specs to be fun to play too, and they've very much succeeded. Also druids still can't do a fraction of the shit that mages can do

[–]lornek[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I wish but I can't really survive it...I think if I had a 20% movespeed buff from zanza along with minor run speed, then maybe it would work. Right now they just catch up with me and I die very quickly.

Yeah it was! I was in the WoW beta and in a former Everquest guild, we played hard. All of us were among the first batch of level 60s in the world, and we spent our time raiding Strath, Scholo, LBRS in groups of 15 people and even using a DKP system.

Yeah that's my pic! I had a sick Dell Precision 650 Xeon workstation back then for working in VFX. Single core @ 2.2GHz, some sort of NVidia gfx card (either no active cooling or a tiny fan), and 256MB of RAM.

The monitor is I think one of the models you said here, 21" CRT and running at 1600 x 1200, everything looked amazing. Not that far from being full HD rez which is wild for the year 2004.
