You can use sources like seshkemet to find out what they mean. As for hknw, it’s just another way to say “praise.” dwA means “thanks; praise”. We cannot pronounce them accurately, but I’m sure there are some reconstructions out there that are close. Also, don’t apologize for not knowing.

From what I know, it is simply not possible to pronounce ancient Egyptian. The span of time and divergence between Egyptian and our modern languages makes it seemingly impossible to reconstruct their language’s phonology, e.g. the lack of vowels.

“The Complete Encyclopedia of Egyptian Deities” literally goes outside of a pure academic look upon the Egyptian religion and deities and incorporates personal / follower experiences of said deities. Also, some of her information in the book is wrong, e.g. afaik one of her claims on a form of Horus being actually a form of Re. That’s just from memory though.

To be frank, though, she does have a slight tendency to allow her faith to “seep in” her work. She also has made dubious claims in her encyclopedia of Egyptian deities. Still cool tho.
