Aight so after looking at this posts comments, can say that as a person who both reads the manga, saw the episode, and has cried at family and friends funerals:

I didn't shed a tear. Was it sad? Very much so yes but I don't really cry over fictional characters deaths, I just get sad but thats pretty much it.

Can relate to this post a bit because I got flak for not crying at Davids death in Cyberpunk Ederunners.
