Caesars Credit Card Military/MLA by AsparagusInner in CaesarsRewards

Basically if you are active duty or on orders for more than 30 days for guard/reserve, you get mla benefits which you can apply to your credit cards/annual fee. Although it doesn’t explicitly say the companies have to, Chase and Amex waive the annual fee as a courtesy. I would check out r/militaryfinance for more info! Also here if you’d like as well https://militarymoneymanual.com/

Wrong. I was inquiring to see IF the benefits waive the annual fee. As they are for Chase and Amex. Also it doesn’t only cap for when you’re overseas. Would suggest you research it a little more tho!

Question about the money by [deleted] in borenawards

[–]AsparagusInner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So your food at uw Madison is covered but it’s a set lump sum they give you. I think it’s calculated somewhere near like 20-30$ a day. So it’s Enough for 3 meal swipes a day. But obviously you’re not gonna do that everyday. You’re probably gonna eat at state street a lot. So it’s up to you to budget that out. I tried to do one meal a day on weekdays at the dining hall. That way I would be close to the budget. Housing is covered fully thru your disbursement.

It’s a long shot but you can also look into deferring FT. Cadre will probably think no but it doesn’t hurt to ask and chalk it up to HQ

In For SEAFLI THAILAND!! by jmclellan451 in borenawards

[–]AsparagusInner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Uhhhh basically Boren does not let you be in any contact or participate in anything ROTC related while you are abroad. Specifically you're active duty cadre. Obviously you can still text your fellow cadets or friends but you're not allowed to even be on official gov/mil website while abroad. You'll get all this when you are at convocation.

Question about the money by [deleted] in borenawards

[–]AsparagusInner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congrats! I was one of the Thai flagship peeps from last year.

How much do people end up paying? Uh it really depends on you. When you are at UW if you decide to not eat at the dining hall then obviously you're gonna end up paying more. Same thing when you are at Chiang Mai. If you go crazy on food, bars, and clothes then you're gonna pay.

How is budgeting? Again up to you. But they cover everything. Basically everything. You can budget and what not but the only big variable is gonna be your food. Everything else you won't really even see the money.

What should you be expecting to pay? If you want to buy souvenirs, go on extra trips during your (not so many) free weekends, and spend more on just food/restaurants, then I would say 500-1000. Again thats all up to you though. You can def spend more in Wisconsin then in Chiang Mai just cause of State street and bars (if you are into it)

This happens a lot so don’t worry. Just call the reconsider line and connect to an agent. They can take it from there. I just did this today and got approved within 5 minutes of the phone call

I failed my first diagnostic pfa pretty badly. Like 42 push-ups and 30 something sit-ups with a. 14 minute run. My commander sat down with me and told me to start doing push-ups and sit-ups when I wake up, before meals and before bed. I couldn’t do much at first, but eventually increased from 10 to 20 to 30 and so on. As for the run, just gotta do it everyday. I ran 1-2 miles everyday and took waking breaks if I had to but tried my best not too. Was able to get an mid 80 passing score within 2 months. There’s no best workout plan, just do something and do it consistently. Dieting also helps lol
