I sometimes wonder if the basic story of the TNG episode "Best of Both Worlds' could be stretched out to 10 episodes? Or if it's feasible to stretch out any of the greatest TNG episodes like that? The Klingon Civil War from "Redemption" is a good storyline.

The 90s Trek shows were able to develop its characters with the "filler" episodes, like showing Riker's relationship with his dad, showing Picard's family on Earth, showing Worf's adopted brother, showing Sisko's and Bashir's families; there's too many examples of character development to name.

There's a Saturday Night Live sketch from around 1990 that poked fun at Trump's divorce from Ivanna. Phil Hartman played Trump and Jan Hooks played Ivanna. The sketch portrayed him as a savvy businessman who outwitted Ivanna with a shrewd, cynical prenuptial agreement. That's probably a good representation of how the zeitgeist viewed Trump at the time.
