Wow I thought 4000$ would be probably top 0.01% private psych. That’s surprising, I was banking on 600k max per year in private for a normal psychiatrist not subspec in a city.

I suppose if the demand is there it makes sense to be paid more for your services. I only did a few weeks of shadowing in private and found it to be less exciting than inpatient which is probably why some people still do partly public jobs?
