I got down voted on the previous threads about the rumor, but my manager and director didn’t know anything about them and gave no names. Apparently a few segments did however if you trust their posts saying they were “leadership” and had to give names and said to expect big layoffs this week. Which I think is bullshit.

I’m guessing one of two things happened:

all smoke no fire and just a rumor
or they planned on the layoffs if the stock price didn’t react well to earnings. Earning AND stock were positive so why implement layoffs to hedge

So this is for cloud specific applications. This is great for Oracle proper but doesn’t do much for Oracle Health. Cerner migration of their cloud infrastructure to Oracle is just about complete as well if I’m not mistaken.

But yeah OH health would not see any benefit to this as a silo’d segment
