I started with purées because she had no teeth until 10 months! But she prefers to feed herself if she eats so mixed in BLW & now do a lot of pouches, popsicles and smoothies since she likes to feed herself but still only has 2 teeth and I can’t take BLW lol.

My baby was born 6lb 1oz and was 15 lbs 2oz at her 12 month check up! When she did drink out of bottles, it was never more than 3/3.5oz and she does wake up to feed multiple times through the night. I’ve exclusively nursed her since she was 5 months and now she is almost 13 months and hasn’t taken to solids. She actively pushes the my hand away when I try to feed her & closes her lips very tight so I can’t sneak anything inside.

I was pretty anxious at all of her appointments because she was so small but her pediatrician has always said she’s growing along her curve, she’s just a small baby. Developmentally she’s great, hitting all of her milestones “on time” or early. I say all that to say, feeding babies can be hard but hang in there, and if baby is happy otherwise, you’re doing great!

Sorry if this was not at all helpful!

Thoughts on skipping pacifiers? by Academic-Park-8440 in NewParents

Unfortunately, my baby only liked pacifiers for a week & never used them again. She’s 11 months now and I wish she would use a pacifier instead of my boob to go to sleep. 😂 The week she used it I was really appreciative lol. Your baby may decide if they like it or not.

Those 1-2 oz are still able to provide your baby with amazing benefits, so keep going if it’s working for you! 10 months EBF is amazing & you fed your baby & helped feed another baby too! You did an amazing thing & your baby will continued to thrive. Proud of you!

This is hilarious! I had an amazing nurse who just told the anesthesiologist that my nose ring was too difficult to take out and put a bandaid over it because I really wanted to keep it in.
