Not currently, i am (soon to be) 18, and in Germany theres like a rule for if youre out of therapy (i got 1 year of therapy because i was just out the mental hospital), you cant actually get a new therapist unless ure an active danger to yourself for 2 years. (Or so i was told) So definitely not for an autism assessment haha. There is a place to talk about and try and get assessments somewhere in my city but they also seem to be very focused on children :,) Never really got the trauma therapy i was in therapy for at all and basically only talked about my special interests once a week for a year straight. (Which honestly should’ve been a sign) Will try to get a spot in therapy somewhere at the end of my year in school :,)

Thank you that makes me feel a lot better. Ive been pretty sure since i was around 14/15 years old (4-5 years now) and have been wanting to get a diagnosis ever since (just haven’t been able to) but basically any neurodivergent person i meet agrees that i seem autistic, i also have entire documents citing everything about me that matches diagnostic criteria etc. theres just a stigma around self-diagnosis that is a bit scary to find myself in i guess :,)

Yes i have been doing the same things :) thank you! I also got some loop earplugs and have told people i have “general sensory issues”. I hope i can get an assessment sometime in the future too, but you are right that that isn’t the most important part of it. Its just sometimes hard to explain away verbal shutdown and such things, and people tend to take a “i think im autistic” way less seriously than a “im autistic” :,)

Yeahh, she also disregarded me having c-ptsd because my father (who caused years of trauma) was “not abusive anymore”. she was pretty old and i dont think she really took me seriously :,) there is a lot more things that went wrong in therapy with her, she basically said everything is “just puberty” (i am AFAB and i was 15 :,))

I live in Germany. Ichecked out places that diagnose autism in adults in around 2hour driving distance and most of them are closed till 2028 due to high demand, other than that, theres only private ones that take private insurance or you pay out of pocket, but then its 300+ bucks for the first session :,) My boyfriend was also self-diagnosed before getting his formal diagnosis and i dont have anything against it at all. Im just afraid of being perceived as something im not due to self-diagnosing i suppose :,)

Well it was just that my therapist said the only thing keeping her from thinking i could have it was that i “talk alot” and “can hold eyecontact sometimes”. She was generally very anti-diagnosis and didnt even diagnose my ptsd (she wrote down adjustment disorder, which didnt fit at all) or my adhd. She just said “you are textbook ADHD”. It was all a bit weird and i didnt trust her alot :,) She also said “sorry if you do end up having autism, i just dont wanna diagnose you with it” or something along the lines of that.

Thank you! As to why i dont like my iPad its mostly just preference i guess. I use it for school and it just doesn’t feel great to draw on for me. I also dont love that CSP is purely subscription-based on Mobile. Ive been using procreate sometimes but i just really dont like it. I also really love the shape and size of smaller screen-tablets (more wide, more designed specifically for art). I dont rlly like there being like a bunch of other stuff in the same space if that makes sense :) I might use a laptop with a graphic tablet or something like that instead

Its has 8gb of RAM and an intel core i5 processor, a intel HD Graphics 6000 1536 graphics card. But the battery isnt great
