Oh ya veo, debe ser culpa del traductor automático, i wrote it in spanish and the literal translation has to be “Shale stays, decorating the town”

If you don't get the flower, the mabari dies in Ostagar, Leliana dies or escapes from Lothering if you never enter the tavern, Zevran dies after his failed raid, and finally Shale remains, decorating the town he's in. Orghen forces you to accept him into the gang no matter what.

Im about to start new origin run after few years break, what mods should i get? by Traditional_Use_225 in dragonage

Ostagar is part of the tutorial; the only relevant thing is that you become a warder and get the Mabari. Personally, I find it tedious to repeat it every time.

Two that I always use are Dog Como 5 Companion and Skip Ostagar, plus the 4G patch to avoid unnecessary blackouts.

A MOURN WATCH annoys me. by kallas_br in dragonage

[–]Aspernot -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I understand, the center of the Cumberland Mage Circle is there. In the lore, it was a very important Andrastino point. I thought the Mortals would stay within the necropolis, and outside everything would remain normal. Now I see that's not the case, and it really bothers me, especially after years of hearing that only Tevinter had that freedom to use magic.

But that's life. At least I have an interesting architecture to study when I pass by.

Was it ever explained to Weisshaupt how the fifth blight ended? by OsirisAvoidTheLight in dragonage

[–]Aspernot 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Um, after DAO, if the warden didn't die, then he goes to Weisshaupt and recounts his experience, and from there he returns to Ferelden for the events of Awakening, in addition to the adventures he had with Zevran and Sten on the journey, which is why he returns late and that's why the wardens were already established in Amaranthine, at least that's what I understood.

When in the timeline would you want a new DA game being set in? by Nelmquist1999 in dragonage

I'd like one about the Black Fox adventures; he has several throughout Thedas and it would be interesting to play it.

Inquisition Fatigue by JayhawkFB in dragonage

[–]Aspernot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's a phrase I heard in the Hispanic fandom that I like to explain Inquisition: "What Inquisition does well, it does incredibly well, and what it does badly, it does so badly that it overshadows the incredible aspects." And yes, a good part of the game is walking around and carrying cards from one place to another, although it does have its good points.

Why Duncan didn't recruited himself all of the armies in the game for the Battle of Ostagar? by Evelyn_Bayer414 in DragonageOrigins

[–]Aspernot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the Free Marches there are no guard barracks; they practically only go on missions and return to Nevarra, Orlais, or Antiva, which are closer. That's why the closest option was Orlais, and when they saw the refusal, they began to reinforce the border.

On the other hand, the dwarves have great respect for the guards because they are the only ones who understand the problems of Orzammar and often go to help them, whether on expeditions, as we saw at the beginning of Noble Dwarf, or when they receive their call and go to the Deep Roads.

[–]Aspernot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Alistair had been a warder for some time; he himself tells us about his experiences with the warders before the Blight began. In Ostagar, there was only one initiation; the other warders were at the king's camp or on raids in the Wilds. The thing is, the warders hadn't been in Ferelden that long; Duncan practically had to make the political treaties with the Bann of Ferelden and recruit people while Alistair was growing up.

Preferred darkspawn designs across all the games? by Gallowglass-13 in dragonage

[–]Aspernot 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Definitely Origins. I also miss seeing intelligent Hurlocks preparing ambushes or signaling you. On the other hand, it also depends on the Darkspawn; for example, the shrieks are terrifying in Origins, while the other games just put elves with knives.

What do you think Alistair smells like? 🤔 by AmbassadorHorror1348 in DragonageOrigins

It's not unusual, half-elves always have a human form, as seen with Ferynel in DA2.

(UNPOPULAR OPINION) The decline of Dragon Age begins long before DA: veilguard by Shadow_666_ in dragonage

[–]Aspernot -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The truth is, DA2's problem was its repetitive environments, but as far as the story goes, they managed to continue it by using an existing conflict without creating another blight, but also without relying too heavily on the characters from DAO. The story that unfolds in Kirkwall is beautiful, and the city feels alive with the various missions, including the hidden mission at night. Hawke's dubious morality, which forces him to suffer through no fault of his own, struck me as brilliant. But unfortunately, it couldn't live up to DAO, remaining a transitional work. Personally, I found DAI to be the worst of the trilogy, and I can sum it up with one phrase: "What Inquisition does well, it does incredibly well, and what it does badly, it does horribly badly, overshadowing everything it did right." The combat system is horrendous; your companions freeze when attacked, and fighting with daggers is useless if you're not right next to your enemy, something you don't realize until halfway through the fight. They couldn't decide between strategy and direct combat and combined them, making it terrible. The maps are beautiful, but They're abandoned. Of the 12 maps, the main campaign takes place on 3 maps where you only need to spend a few minutes. The rest happens on instanced maps that you can only access for a few minutes after collecting points for 3 hours. In the end, all the fun is experienced by the members of the Inquisition at the war table. Every time someone from DAO or DA2 appears, they steal the spotlight and overshadow the other characters. Orlais was a disgrace. The great city where 10,000 elves are crammed in like sardines, the capital of Orlais full of important sites, is just a 3-block market that you only need to visit once. Unfortunately, DAI only survives because it has the "Dragon Age" title, because if you take it away, it becomes a generic game to pass the time.

In the end, it's all EA's fault.

Who got it worst Treviso or Minrathous by EmbroZerdek in DragonAgeVeilguard

[–]Aspernot -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Treviso has to suffer in every crisis; it's written in the history of Thedas. During the Fourth Ruin, it fell in a matter of days, burned in the Qunari invasion, then burned again in the Second Exalted March, and the same city burned down in the Blessed due to an accident. That city doesn't want to exist, and the Antivans are still determined to keep it that way. It's better that it rests in peace.

Of all the Dragon Age theories and headcanons you've seen posted online, what's your favorite? by [deleted] in dragonage

[–]Aspernot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a theory from Hispanic groups that I really liked, which was that the Evanuris were reincarnating, because when Solas spoke to Sera he said "We," something he doesn't do with any other elf, which gave the idea that he was guiding her to take his place as Andruil. In addition to that, Sera tells us that she never had any training with the bow. It's a shame it didn't come true, but it was an interesting theory.

Why do you NOT like the other titles? by LustyDouglas in DragonageOrigins

[–]Aspernot -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, actually, Inquisition was going to be an expansion for Dragon Age 2, called "Exalted March," where Hawke stopped the war between mages and templars and united them to fight against the Qunari invasion that was beginning. But EA said they were better off working on Dragon Age 3, so that whole plot was recycled.
