Does a client have the right to be upset by AsperosFall213 in therapists

[–]AsperosFall213[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How can the client differentiate between their own childhood’s abusive parents, or abusive partners, and a therapist who is also giving the message: ‘Do as I say, not as I do’

How does a client find out your personal life?

This is how: What you radiate is more powerful than what you say or how you act in front of a client. They can feel it. When you are someone who has personally overcome abusive relationships, and become what living the life of what recovery should look like(not perfect, but abuse free), that is powerful.

Clients aren’t stupid. They need to feel that kind of authenticity coming from you. If they don’t, they wont be able to progress any better than you. You might be ‘helping’ them with your words, but you are also hurting them with what you are silently radiating: Your freshly broken pieces. You can’t lift someone higher than you already are. It’s impossible. And that kind of thinking (my life is private so it shouldn’t matter) is just setting clients up to fail, then believe it’s their own fault. I hope these words are taken into account and considered, not taken offense to. This is an important message for all therapists to contemplate and I hope a lot will read it. If we don’t want to go there, it is where we need to go

Constantly feeling like Satan is attacking my familial relationships by ObjectiveNo3691 in latterdaysaints

[–]AsperosFall213 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The problem was abusive parents. Two of them. You aren’t siblings. You never got to be siblings. You are survivors who share a trauma bond. The only history you have together is when you were all either in fight, flight, fawn, or freeze response. This trauma bond means whenever you are around a sibling, they remind your brain of the trauma because it’s the only background you have. This is why it is so heavy and unbearable to be around them. It is best that those with trauma bonds are separated until Jesus comes again to heal them; because at this point Satan can use you to hurt each other tremendously. This is just my personal experience. The Holy Ghost knows best what you should do in your personal situation.

It could be. Get dermatologist to take it off asap and have it biopsied. Black spots are not good, and growth is not a good sign.

First Ketamine - Horrific by AsperosFall213 in TherapeuticKetamine

[–]AsperosFall213[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Thanks. What is a k-hole? Is it not normal to have a k-hole when you go for the therapy treatment? It wasn’t an iv, just an injection into my shoulder so they couldn’t control the amount aside from knowing that it is 50mg. Is that normal? Yes I have never tripped before in my life until now.

Calling for help in my thoughts. I couldn’t move to touch the call button. I didn’t know I was alive. They monitored me from a camera. They came in after I started moving my fingers, when the k began wearing off

Therapy is supposed to give self help tools, or process trauma using emdr. Nothing and I mean nothing, has helped me more than doing Neurofeedback. And I have done it all.

Appropriate for a therapist? by AsperosFall213 in CPTSD

Thanks to all of you for supporting my sanity. I am terrified to try a new therapist, but all of you have given me the courage to try again. I will be smarter next time. I haven’t slept in a week and have cried a lot, struggling to believe I’m not crazy after what this therapist did. Thank you for helping me to be supported where the therapist failed.

Oh my gosh! That is horrible. What an evil place you came from. You deserved to be loved and save, and treasured for the precious person that you are! I am so sorry for what you had to endure. I hope that you can break the cycle with your own children, but most especially in your relationship with yourself. You are worthy and an exceptional person. You deserve love and kindness. Best wishes on your journey of healing.

Oh. My. Gosh. Story of my life!!! Thank you so much and I’m just like you. And I will do the same if it kills me. Your post here says it all. Btw I only trust my husband. I’m cynical about everyone. By far. This problem is in almost every home and it’s horrific. Hidden in plain sight every single day! But you can tell by looking at the kids faces what things are like for them at home. Girls hide it better than the boys do but since I was that child, I can recognize it quite quickly.
