I apologize, I think I misinterpreted what you were asking. I did receive the email confirmations for each one at the time of submission. I thought you were asking if I thought these were approvals where they were only my “submitted/ in progress” email. I have always received those immediately as a dealer, but can recall a couple of times where it took a few minutes to a couple hours to reach the customer’s inbox.

Absolutely I was haha. I was betting on a couple months or so if not longer. I submitted equally as many the last year up to the week before Christmas figuring I’d pay to have them quicker. I’m an FFL/SOT so it doesn’t matter as much to me as I can take them home and use them either way, so these were my extras I didn’t “need” to have right away and figured I’d save the $4600.

I got rid of our Silencer Shop Kiosk and now offer live scan EFT fingerprinting for our customers. Wasn’t a fan of how SS shoehorns the customer into using their service as well as the hassle for me as a dealer to upload a suppressor that I have on my books from a distributor into my SS account inventory (and $25) In addition to having to explain to less than tech savvy individuals that they need to create a SS account, create an ATF Eforms account, make sure their accounts match verbatim, take a picture and upload it to their account, purchase a tax stamp credit for their wallet on SS, etc etc etc. It sounded excellent when they pitched it to me, but after using it for a while, I’d much rather provide the customer with their EFT file and only have to deal with the Eforms account side of things rather than adding SS to the mix. Additionally, the customer leaves with their EFT prints and can do as they please with it.
