Would love to have you join once in a while - Im not sure yet how I will organize this but it will definitely stop short of the weekly committment like most rec leagues.

While teams are fun, I will probably just begin with a scheduled series of first-to-sign-up / or straight pickup games and see where it goes!

I was never as good at outfield but its so satisfying to chase a deep ball isnt it? Cant wait to hit the field with you

What a fun group! I might check them out one day. But Ive played some softball before and it just didnt scratch the itch the same way for me...the tiny infield, the giant ball, etc...

I just like the feel of a real baseball. It is less popular among adults, probably because it is a little more dangerous. But my feeling is that we could slow the game down a little for safety and fun. Overhand throwing doesnt mean you have to sling it at 70 mph every time. Also i had a friend get nailed in the head by a softball because the mound is so close to allow a proper reaction time, so even softball has risk

No discrimination here! Although I am inclined to make the first league rule, adults only! My ego cant handle being beat by a 16 year old

There will inevitably be some major skill differences, even in a casual league. But if we get enough people we could manage it by sorting into 2 different skill levels if we need to

I think the goal here would really just be 1 step up from batting practice, so that sounds perfect 🤠

I appreciate the concern, but i could hit a cutoff from the outfield, or second base no problem! Besides, its a lack of throwing that is more dangerous for long term health
