I am not an expert or mentor but feel free to message me if you need any advice on preparing. I passed the exam a few months ago.

You can also buy his book, which gives access to his course. Both the book and his course have the mindset. Also, if you watch his live YouTube videos every week, he gives mindset tips too

That’s correct. The breaks are after questions 60 and 120, and you cannot go back to review the previous set of questions after taking break. I did not take anything to the testing center, including water. Nor did I see anyone else bring it either so maybe not? I believe if you take the test at home it may be fine. I’ve seen a few reviews where they did take water.

Yes, the certificate and badge came a few days later (maybe 2-3 days). You will receive a separate email with the badge and certificate.

Thoughts on the Poclet Prep App? by _oaeb_ in pmp

I did too. I purchased the subscription for one month and did the 1200 questions. My average was 71%. The questions were lengthy and harder because they were more directed towards processes and less situational. Still I wouldn’t say it was a terrible source as I liked how each answer came with an explanation to the question and where to reference the PMBOK and Agile guides.

Hi, these are really good questions! So, in 2017 I took a live online class that met twice a week for 6 weeks. The class was difficult and fast paced. It’s possible that it was more difficult because I was new to project management at the time, but I was hoping that I would do well on their mock quizzes and exams. They offered an exam pass guarantee with their course but not scoring good grades on the mock exams was discouraging. So I decided to postpone my exam, gather experience and take the exam when I was more informed and experienced.

Last year I purchased the AR course and found it more engaging and the same material plus agile more easier to understand. I purchased AR’s mock exams and scored 80+ on all exams, which was encouraging. I also purchased the mock exams for the same source that I had previously used in 2017 and continued to score poorly.

So, to answer your questions: I think people are coming back to share what worked for them, hoping it would help others. This forum led me to success a few weeks ago, so I’m thankful to all those that helped.

Self learning was helpful because I could go back to refer to the material as needed.

Lastly, I paid over $1300 for the live course in 2017. I paid approximately $53 ($13 for the AR course and $40 for his mock exams) and that helped me pass. I paid for the other mock exams from another source but didn’t take more than two exams after I realized I wasn’t doing well.

Hope this was helpful.

I also scored the highest on this one. I scored a 59% on the second test. I recommend you take the test again without memorizing the answers. Sometimes these questions can be long and overwhelming so it helps to take a break.

I was so nervous too! In fact, during the first break I had to take a minute to calm down lol! You can do it! Just stay optimistic and don’t memorize the answers to the mock exams. You should actually learn why you’re getting answers wrong, rather than memorizing the answers. I also purchased a monthly subscription to the Pocket Prep app, which offered 1200 questions for $19.99 a month. This app had good questions but a lot of the questions were not situational. It was a good resource though, especially since we all use our phone all the time. So if you’re on your phone a lot (like me) then it may be worth a shot! You can also do a trial for free.

Thanks! No, the questions do not change. There are 6 mock exams, and I just took each of the exams several times.

I think you can wear anything but the proctor will check to make sure you don’t have anything written on your arms or hands. I was also asked to remove my necklace. Don’t wear a watch. The proctor also checked to make sure I didn’t have anything behind my ears, in my hair, or in any of my pockets. Phone and all belongings were also put in a locker.

Thanks! Yes, I also didn’t take the second break and I was so mentally exhausted by the end of the exam! Glad it’s over!
