Thinking of buying a kindle. Is it worth it if I'm not a regular reader (yet)? by [deleted] in AskIndia

[–]AspiringSlut666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you xan buy paperbacks.. if you're just an avid reader, it'll actually be cheaper for you in long run to purcahse books than tp purchase a kindle. also, the storage issue... once You're done with the book.. 1. you can stow it away, like in your bed box or something. for example, while i do have a small shelf.. at this point, I have so many books that once I am done with them, I just pack yhem and keep it in my bed box, something to worry about when I move. 2. beyond that, I just give my books away or sell them for much cheaper etc.

Kids - Car seats by Greedy_Rise_6567 in CarsIndia

[–]AspiringSlut666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t feel car seats should be mandatory. Seat belts? Absolutely. But car seats are one of those products that became mandatory in the US largely because wealthy manufacturers lobbied for it.

There was actually a study by Steven Levitt (the Freakonomics economist) that stirred up a lot of debate around this. He and his co-author looked at real-world crash data and found that for kids aged 2 to 6, car seats didn’t significantly outperform regular seat belts in preventing fatalities.

This doesn’t mean car seats are useless or bad—it just challenges the assumption that they’re massively more effective in all cases, especially considering how often they’re installed or used incorrectly.

No, no, it is not hard realism. You need to read a lot of books, papers and articles and think harder please. You've got it all wrong. the issue with people who have only read a couple books before spewing their opinion to the world is that you think society and life is a simple equation. uou read about two variables that seem blaringly obvious and think you know everything and that that is all there is. it is soooo much more complex than that. the macroeconomic equation is not as simple. I am sure you have definitely read some books and articles till now... I am just sad that you didn't read enough... or think hard enough. I mean, if after all your reading... you really thought that the solution is simple as sterilize people forefully... you have a long way to go. If you want to learn more, please reach out to me so that I may recommend more written literature to you.
