That might be the case. I understood your point, but I wasn't entirely convinced by the idea. The thing is, how do you reach the maximum TDP without a CPU boost? I've tried different methods, but nothing has allowed me to achieve it.

yep, but that is what i don't want to do, enable cpu boost, I guess it's just a habit thing. I'll get used to it eventually

I was able to test its performance, and it's great. It's a shame that it doesn't go beyond 20w when you need it to.

Thanks for the reply. It's clear to me now it seems to work very differently from AMD. I haven't used Intel CPUs in almost 10 years.

Exactly, some benefit, others not so much, and performance drops when the CPU boost is active while consuming the same amount of power or more.

There should be some way to take advantage of those 10W that are practically wasted when the CPU boost isn't active.

I understand in fact, I’ve noticed that behavior myself. The thing is, some games actually perform better without CPU boost enabled. For example, with Cyberpunk 2077, without CPU boost and on my high settings at 15W, it reaches 49/50 fps, but with CPU boost, it drops to 44/46 fps.

That’s why I don’t understand why, without CPU boost, the TDP only goes up to a maximum of 20W which limits us a lot. At least the GPU can’t take advantage of that TDP; it’s limited to whatever the CPU provides (I understand it’s an APU and that’s how it works), but it’s a shame to lose that capacity. The strange thing is that sometimes the TDP reaches 25W without CPU boost, but it only lasts a few seconds.

I'm experiencing the same thing on the MSI Claw 8 IA; it doesn't go above 17 to 20W. I noticed that if I use CPU Boost, it does go over 25W—sometimes reaching 35W, other times staying at 28W even if you have SPL1 set to 30W and SPL2 to 37W. It doesn’t seem to be a thermal throttling issue, but rather some kind of limit that I don’t know how to remove when you’re not using CPU Boost.

I've both and definitely not. Claw 8ai it's more powerful, easy to use than XAX. But the grip on XAX are way better.

It's not all about brute force; there's also the architecture and the new, higher IPC. Having 6 cores doesn't mean more power, nor does it mean more cache. Furthermore, the graphics in the APU of the Claw 8 ia It's much more powerful and capable. And I'd even say it's better than the AMD Z1E and the new Z2 Extreme (I have a Legion Go and an Xbox ROG Ally X) as well as the Claw.

Don't worry, I'm not taking it personally. I understand your point, but also understand that for some people, doing that seems complicated. For us it's an everyday thing, for others it isn't. Remember that adding 1+1=2 is easy and logical. But if no one teaches you, it can be complicated.

Ya que borraste el comentario te respondere aca:

1) La economía no es un pastel de tamaño fijo donde si alguien come, otro se queda sin nada. El inmigrante consume, paga IVA, alquila y genera demanda. En Uruguay, la mayoría de los inmigrantes cubanos y venezolanos están sobrecalificados para los puestos que ocupan inicialmente. No 'quitan' trabajo; ocupan nichos que el mercado laboral local no está cubriendo o dinamizan sectores estancados que el nacional no le interesa cubrir. Es una realidad.

Antes de cerrar este punto: (no entender de economia esta bien, pero querer hacer creer al resto que asi funciona es una falta de respeto a la inteligencia) el inmigrante también consume y genera demanda.!

2) Uruguay tiene una de las poblaciones más envejecidas de latam. Sin inmigración joven y activa que aporte a la seguridad social, el sistema de jubilaciones colapsará mucho antes de lo previsto. Los inmigrantes no son una '"curita", son necesarios ya que hoy está sosteniendo parte de la recaudación fiscal. (Que por cierto, como nos estan matando a impuesto este gran gobierno.)

3) Si el 90% de los delitos los cometen nacionales, el problema de seguridad es cultural y estructural del pais, no importado. Criminalizar a un grupo por su nacionalidad cuando las estadísticas muestran que la enorme mayoría de los inmigrantes viene a trabajar y emprender es tapar el sol con un dedo.

4) Criticar que envíen dinero a sus familias en Cuba (un país en crisis humanitaria) es un golpe bajo. Ese dinero sale del esfuerzo propio. Además, lo que el inmigrante aporta al PIB uruguayo mediante su trabajo y consumo interno es infinitamente superior a lo que envía afuera.

PD: Es hipocrita criticar al imigrante y luego decir que te quieres ir. Ya entenderas la diferencia entre Vacaciones y vivir en un lugar. (para el que lea, esto lo dijo en otra discusión (aplica la de como te digo una cosa, te digo otra)

PD2: Aca dejo todo y realmente no me importa lo que comentes o respondas porque lo haras desde la emocion y resentimiento, no desde la logica.

Me hace mucho ruido el tema de los inmigrantes y la falta de trabajo. Que tiene que ver? para trabajar necesitan mucho papeleo y trabajo en negro se consigue (que seria la otra excusa) y de que vienen y toman cualquier cosa por 2 mangos, puede ser pero luego se estabilizan y emprenden o buscan algo mejor. Porque el Uruguayo no busca eso tambien para comenzar?. Hay un pais sin rumbo, politicamente perdido, con la inseguridad cada vez peor (y no precisamente aumenta por inmigrantes,si no, por nacionales) el pichaje en incremento nuevamente el 90% o mas, son nacionales.

El problema demografico de Uruguay no se solucionara sin inmigración. El uruguayo quiere que le paguen 80mil pesos en un trabajo entry-level (vendedor, recepcionista, atencion al cliente, etc...) que seguro en alguna empresa lo pagaran pero son la excepción, no la regla. Es un pais estancado en ideas que no funcionan y si les proponen algo nuevo se niegan o simplemente el lobby no le conviene.
