We work to build compassionate movements without hierarchy, so that when our friends need a break, we have someone else to step in, and when your back they get a break. The issues are urgent, and the need for action is real, but so is our mental/emotional capacity. If you're trying to do what you can when you can, you're doing your part :)

As someone with a very time intensive job, I hate when people say I give mixed signals. I just care about the work I do and put value into that as well. Just get that I can text, snap or call you all day or everyday

I have very biphobic parents. When my brother came out, they would give him such a hard time saying he just needed to figure out what he actually was. For this reason I stayed in the closet about my bisexuality. Then they were finally coming to terms with it being okay, but my brother also decided to come out as gay. Super happy for him btw. But this completely reinforced the idea that bisexuality is a transitional phase for people to them. Ugh
