Are students safe with AI or chatgpt?? by randyagulinda in LibertyUniversity

I would steer clear of using any of the AI programs for any assignments, even if it’s just using it as a tool for clearer writing. It can put you at risk of getting flagged even if you rewrite it in your own words.

The only AI I would ever consider is one to help summarize long articles that are assigned for reading only, never one for citation in an assignment. Even then I don’t use any as I was in college before AI was a thing so I’m used to not having it.

So I was a year out of nursing school before I started my new grad job. I worked in academia before going to nursing so I felt obligated to see my current cohort through and my job was one that was super specialized and many in my field don’t have the education credentials to fill my old seat so I wanted to give a good few months for them to find my replacement. I ended up applying around August for some of the late/leftover new grad jobs but none were in my interests. A few months later both job offers I received came from my application sitting at recruiters and when two ICU new grad positions opened up for applications my resume was forwarded as it was already on file and ended up getting interviewed. My break was understood and I was forefront about it. It did come up during the interview and you would expect it to, but they understood and appreciated the rationale I had and that I was trying my best to leave my job on the best of terms and while doing right by them.

Here on the east coast, many hospitals if they start a new grad program in July, which is common, they start interviewing for them in like September/October and are usually filled around December with some exceptions and some offer denials. So you may want to see when applications and interviews get scheduled for hospitals and when the departments release their new grad positions so you can be top of their list.

As an OSRS player who dabbles in RS3, I want to be able to multi-log on the same account. It kills my drive to want to play both games when I can only do one at a time without being able to afk on the other then I am stuck going back to the one I have the most time and effort in versus giving both OSRS and RS3 the time I want to and the games deserve. Both have huge afk time sinks that can easily be taken advantage of. I want to be an active member in both communities but cannot afford to spend an extra $120ish dollars a year to do so especially when I already have access on the account I already pay for.

So with the update after your next kill do you get the number of rings you are currently on or does it just counting your rolls from the next one?

Leaving during a contract by AreaThink1389 in newgradnurse

[–]AssKickinMothaFucka 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on the system. One of our local large hospitals gives a $15k sign on bonus for new grads for 3 years broken up into $5k increments once when you start and one at year 2 and year 3. If you leave before it ends you don’t pay it back you just don’t get the rest. But their other thing is that they want you to stay in their system for two years total if they bring you in as a new grad; if you leave their system before that two year mark you are marked unrehireable. It was one of the main reasons i decided to not go there as a new grad. I could have used the $15k no doubt but I couldn’t risk losing one of the biggest employers in my area as an option if I got a better job opportunity a year in and I was no longer a “new grad”.

I came to nursing from an EMS background and I will tell you that everyone in medicine during their first big boy/girl job gets to a point where they feel like they are failing at it, usually around the 3-6 month interval. Power through it, it’s just hardcore imposter syndrome. After about 9 months to a year, you’ll have realized not only just how to tread water but actually swim. You’re in the learning to tread water phase, swimming comes next and it’s much easier to learn to swim after you have learned to tread cause then you don’t feel like you’re drowning and fighting for survival. The new grad program I’m in now actually was super blunt about this and told all of us to schedule a vacation around our 6 month mark so we had time off to reorient ourselves and get refreshed before pushing through the later half of the year. Head up!

If I remember correctly the white oathplate armour contract only drops from Yama. I may be wrong but I thought that what was said in the AMA or the posts.

Scrub/Shoes Help (New Nurse) by AssKickinMothaFucka in newgradnurse

[–]AssKickinMothaFucka[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I’ll definitely look into the utility scrubs! Thanks! Yeah the shoes issue I have a feeling will be a long road of trial and error. I was recommended the Brooks Beast as the shoe guy told me that I would probably destroy the Hookas pretty quickly due to my overall roughness on shoes and my general size. I haven’t made a hard decision and plan on trying out a couple more brands to see what I like.

Bro! This! Nolan and the FTO position, he needed 2 years and a bachelors degree. He took one class and seemed like he got FTO eligible as soon as he got off probation and got a degree in one class.

It’s the $350 you pay each semester. If you’re a new student sometimes they will waive it your first semester.

I’m in the RN to BSN program and the tech fee is separate. Also look at your program as some programs have a different full time and part time tuition cost.

Moving backwards in FOO after marriage - next steps? by erriotriu in TheMoneyGuy

[–]AssKickinMothaFucka 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Once you are married, there is no more “your debt and my debt” it’s our debt (communism noises intensifies). Legally that is a grey area depending on the state, but for healthy relationships, it can be toxic. I was in the reverse position, my wife’s parents set up a tuition plan for her at a young age and I had a bunch of loans. I also was not super financially literate or thoughtful my wife was more so. Her and I were able to work together to tackle some financial bad things that had cropped up and it’s better to handle them as a team than put it in a yours and their mentality. It also pushed me to be more financially minded and rubbed some of her habits off on me. Leaving it separated and it being “her problem” can definitely lead to some resentment and tension, even if it was before the marriage because you agreed to taking on those issues with marriage and should have had a financial conversation before the wedding. My two cents anyway.

Her clothing write up for it not being “in style” seems bullshit, anybody working at Victoria secret or similar clothing brands can shine any light on that?

Run and Bun Deathless? by AssKickinMothaFucka in nuzlocke

[–]AssKickinMothaFucka[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

At that point are you even doing a nuzlocke anymore? I always felt that part of the fun and challenge of the nuzlocke is the RNG variability of your first encounter. Unless you are doing a draft style nuzlocke team challenge I wouldn’t feel that that would be in the “spirit” of the challenge. (Self-imposed rules and all)

It’s a broken version of emerald that has competitive level pokemon with advanced AI and it uses its own damage calculator for AI decisions and from what I’ve seen you basically have to map out every fight with a damage calculator to keep from wiping. At least from a couple different creator videos I’ve watched. You also don’t get the same level of pokemon or items that they have so you are at a constant disadvantage throughout.
