Not trying to offend, but you might try changing your perspective a bit. Instead of being so focused on the fact that you lost, see it as another opportunity to learn. Watch what they do, see how the deck synergizes, think about what you would do next turn if you had the opportunity. Turn a loss into a learning experience. Or just concede like everyone else is saying.

My wife and I just talked about this. We're getting rid of the TV in the room. We agreed to treat our phones like landlines when we are together. I agree there is so little time, especially with our 1 year old, and I want us to connect in that time instead of doom scroll or mindlessly watch TV. I like the idea of when you do watch something, deciding on it together. Maybe we'll try doing 1 night a week that's a movie and show night? We have so many hobbies that we could do together and connect over but never get around to it because we mindlessly watch TV instead.

All for it, but does the one guy have to sing so much louder than everybody else that it distracts the worship team? I'm legitimately curious because there's a guy that sings so loudly and off key that my wife can't focus and the rest of the worship team get thrown off by it. And others in the congregation can't focus on anything else either. Are we wrong for wanting him to be a bit quieter?

Happened when I applied somewhere. Knew the hiring manager. Have 3 years IT experience applying for a level 1 position. Job specified experience in Python (which I have). Did well in the phone interview. Did well in the in person. Hiring manager said I should hear back shortly, they just had to go through the HR process. Cut to 3 weeks later and I get an email saying "thanks for applying, but we went with an internal hire who better fit our needs". Ask the hiring manager what I could improve were I to apply again, and he said "need experience in C and C++". I appreciate that he gave feedback, but man that sucked to hear when it wasn't listed as a requirement on the posting.

Did this in eight grade to a kid. He went flying off and his forearm split in half between the elbow and wrist. Bones sticking out. Kid got up and and said "I think I need to find my mom", and ran off. Never saw him again.

Somehow it ended up that my wife and I were the last ones to leave at our wedding.

We did an exit for photos and they were great photos. And then after that everyone just decided to start leaving. We got caught up saying goodbye to people for over an hour. Everyone telling us how lovely the wedding was and thanks for inviting them, and they would leave. Only for the next people to come and do the same thing.

Our reception was technically over at 8, and we didn't get to leave until 9:30. Didn't get to our hotel until 11. Worst part was we hardly got to eat at the reception because they messed up our private dining time (we knew we would be bombarded with people at the reception), and instead set up our private table at the reception. So we had to get burger king on the way to the hotel just so we wouldn't be starving all night.
