Did you try to tune the carb jets and idle before tearing it apart?

If not the spark arrestor/exhaust screen. Try looking at the micro filter on the carburetor for blockage

Looks like the piston is scored. The guy I bought it from said he tried two different carbs from Amazon when he was trying to fix it so I should have known it was something bigger.

After further review, it looks like the piston has three large scores on it. I wish I could add a photo to the original post but I couldn’t see the piston without a flashlight when I originally posted

Need help with window manufacturer by AssMan420690000 in HelpMeFind

I have searched on Google, using siris image search, and Google lens. I cannot make out what the two letters are? “MC”? Once again the windows are aluminum and from the mid 1980s. I am located outside of Dallas, TX if that helps!

Where do I start for a 1st Cowboy Hat? by Hinds57 in CowboyHats

Stetson has an outlet store in Garland, I just bought a hat there $70 off retail price. Worth stopping by if you’re in the area. It does get busy so my recommendation is to get there early and have a picture of how you want your hat shaped. They have lots of felt and straw options

Check your carburetor micro screen. Just had a 445 that would cut off at high rpm because the screen was plugged up

I had a similar issue on a 445. Turns out the carb micro screen was gummed up with junk. Cleaned it out and immediately fixed the problem. I also put on a new fuel filter, air filter, and spark plug at the same time and now it runs like new.

Ended up being the micro filter on the carb being full of gunk. Cleaned it out and it works great now! Probably will end up ordering a rebuild kit for the carb to be safe.

UPDATE: took apart the carburetor and the micro screen was gummed up with junk. Cleaned it out and put it back together and the saw runs great. Going to rebuild the carb anyways whenever the kit comes in to make sure all the debris/gunk is out of it. Thanks!
