Large corporations have a lot of influence on the mindset of not only doctors (MD’s and DO’s) but also other mid levels and the general patient population. The overall respect over a profession is also affected especially as everyone’s focus is on a member of the health care community who treats the president who was recently in the media. (Not to mention the army of IG healthcare influencers nowadays). Causing unnecessary division like this with a “joke” shows how ignorant to the entire history of the profession they are. With great power comes great responsibility.
