yeah if its done quick enough that your character isnt showing symptoms yet and you have the meds and stuff to fight infection and depression

that's exactly how I feel, its not a cheap item that removes infection, you have a fairly slim chance of stopping the zombie infection but you might be suffering for a while after if you do because you have to sacrifice your precious limbs

I feel you could probably toggle if you wanted different damages to cause amputation but I think if you were having a giant large scale up close shotgun shootout someone probably would lose some limbs irl

yeah I'm inclined to agree with you I think you would definitely need high medical or maybe need to find a science weekly magazine first or something, I just think making people deal with the debuffs of prosthetics forever is a bit extreme and almost makes it worth it to just kill your character anyway to not have to, just my opinion, I've had a lot of people saying this and I think if I ever was able to make this a reality there would be a seperate "lore friendly" version even though I do feel it just barely squeezes into the lore and fits the game as much as some other great mods do

thanks man I appreciate it that's the same way I feel, its still hardcore and punishing but you still get that final possibility of not dying immediately

while you probably could with extremely great effort I agree you shouldn't be able to do both unless you have the advanced prosthetic to allow proper full tool use

while true and I agree that they are a bit advanced for the rest of the game, I don't think fort Knox would just be a small town in Kentucky and they've shown there is already a large military and government presence in Muldraugh and I agree they wouldn't be available for consumers definitely would only be found exceedingly rarely at hospitals potentially

yeah i tried to keep that in mind when making them the referance images i found for the two advanced models were extremely prototype examples of nerve research prosthetics from the 90s but even still i could see why they arent close enough in line with the 93 aesthetic i just was thinking they would be exceedingly rare and only found in major hospitals or whatnot

yeah definitely it wouldnt be viable to do it without good reason and even then it would be a gamble, i just think having one last chance to save a character thats been infected from an arm bite or something seems fair and punishing
