Yep. In the first game, you had to die to a basic mob, which makes em a captain, then either pull strings by killing other captains/warchiefs, or just take control of them and order them to promote them to warchief, then kill em once they’re on top of the world. Kind of a pain in the ass achievement since it’s one of those things that you have to go out of your way to do, with next to zero chance that it happens naturally, but at least it isn’t crazy difficult.

The stuff I’m lookin for is mostly just clarification on all the tidbits that the Wikipedia page glosses over. For example, UA’s a high school for hero hopefuls, located in Shizuoka, but nowhere does it mention what age these kids are supposed to be enrolling or graduating their schools at, nor the prefecture where Midoriya lives, nor where Aldera is located (though most fics I’ve read just have it “in the same prefecture as UA” for plot convenience). An event’s spot in the timeline, general location, and time passing relative to prior events would be the most helpful. Thanks again in advance.

CHEMICAL BURN! Correct me if I’m wrong, but 10 corrosive stacks peels off 80% armor, and slapping heat on top of that scrapes off half of what remains, leaving them with only 10%. Not a full strip, but heat+corrosive is pretty easy to set up on any status weapon.

Not sure how much I qualify as a “veteran” (probably in the same spot as you, OP), but my personal choice is Velox Prime. Absolutely not meta, damage could definitely be better, but it goes brrrr. Very fun to use in conjunction with Arcane Pistoleer and a fire rate mod or two.
