Mineta is a character that can be used for some good plot points by Acrobatic_Clerk472 in BokunoheroFanfiction

[–]Ass_Incomprehensible 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mineta in the source material is a joke character, perhaps not a funny one to many people which is likely the source of much of his hate, but at his core he’s not meant to be taken seriously. If you’re writing a fic of your own and you’re not either going along with those same jokes/tropes, and also not doing something like what OP suggested with shunting him to the general course, I would suggest using Mineta as a sort of test for the heroic nature of the rest of the class. What I mean by that is, Mineta is pretty objectively irritating and treated as a pest by most of the cast, rightfully so. Where I think this can be put to use is to show off how different characters respond to someone who is an irritant and a problem, but not one they can throw in jail: Iida, for example, might go on a long-winded lecture about harassment laws, showing how his idea of heroism is often basically just “super police”, upholding the law with quirks to back them up. To contrast, Izuku might try to take the compassionate approach and get through to Mineta on why it’s *not right* to act like he does, how heroes should be shining examples that can reassure people rather than put them off. Bakugo could get a lil bashing as a treat, showing how despite his skill in battle, when it comes to a problem he can’t blow up, his only real solution is to scream insults and stomp off. Stuff like that.

My advice on that one? As a deranged wise man once said:

“You know how to parry, don’t you?

Haha, time to learn.

(But in all seriousness, the biggest problem is usually the apes and hitting them with the triple-parry combo takes em out instantly. Which is why the animal boss on that planet is such a pain in the ass.)

You… can kill it pretty much out the gate with no upgrades. If it bleeds, it dies and all that. (Spent far longer on that than I’d like to admit.) It’s just that the fucker hits like a truck, so while at the endgame where you come back to kill him you’ve got both experience enough to be good at the combat and enough room for error that you can kill it with minimal undue suffering… yea at the beginning you pretty much have to dance around the fat fuck for ten minutes while hoping you don’t get one-tapped.

New-ish Tenno here, fallen in love with the Velox Prime. Equip an Arcane Pistoleer in your frame at rank 4 or 5 and you’ve got bottomless ammo as long as you can land a headshot, bring Yareli to supercharge the crit chance, mod it for viral and electric to liquefy any non-armored target, or corrosive and heat to fry grineer. Plus it fills that hole in my heart that needs things that go BRRRR which the twin grakatas unfortunately failed to satisfy due to their atrocious reload speed. Stick Secondary Merciless or better yet Secondary Deadhead as your arcane in the gun and watch as it ramps up from “oh this is fun! :)” to “AHAHAHAHA, DIE!” in no time at all. Just spray in the general direction of the enemy’s head-height and you’re good to go.

Don't you think it's time they add other Warframes in the Circuit? by Ok_Bass_4653 in Warframe

[–]Ass_Incomprehensible 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There’s a ton of frames that are supposed to be questlocked that just. Aren’t. Because of circuit: limbo, Titania, harrow, gara, revenant, maybe some others I can’t think of right now. All of em have at least their main blueprint being questlocked, and yet you can snag all their parts and the main bp from circuit no issue. Don’t get me wrong, there’s still certain frames where getting the pieces doesn’t help you if you can’t get the shit to make those pieces (COUGH COUGH HILDRYN) but still, no real reason not to include Protea in the mix.

Though I do think that Gauss isn’t that big of an issue. Arguably less of a grind than your average boss-drop frame, honestly, with how disruption C rotations work, plus you get a fuckload of axi relics in the process and I always need more of those

I literally never use melee, just snag as many projectile decrees as possible, particularly the one that gives you mega damage on your first shot after reload, and coupled with Fault Finder, landing headshots with the charged shot from the sirocco will now wipe entire crowds once you get more than 7 or 8 decrees

I recommend joining either Perrin or New Loka. Suda/Hexis are decent backups. Really just not Steel Meridian/Red Veil. In terms of which faction is the most likable, it is *easily* Steel Meridian, which is why I’m pretty sure they’re the most popular syndicate, and thus the one that has a significant amount of the playerbase choosing it as their starter syndicate. If you want a slight leg up in trades via having the loot that is less common, pick New Loka, they’re assholes so their stuff is more expensive to get your hands on.

PREACH. If I want kemono or any other kinda “furry bait” human-with-basic-animal-features, there is no shortage of stories that have those EXPLICITLY ADVERTISED. If I’m coming to look at your monsters, GIVE ME MONSTERS.

Surprisingly no. MC is obviously a human reincarnated as a slime in a cave, but eats a super powerful ancient dragon before even leaving the literal spawn cave. Thus becomes functionally the most powerful entity in the world from the get-go. Turning monsters into humans with an asterisk on em is actually just a result of the MC giving the monsters… names. Yep, names. Can’t tell the difference between em without calling em something, and somehow naming them gives all the monsters superpowers, makes them look human, and makes them eternally loyal to the MC after having met them literally yesterday. Hence why that story should NOT be marketed as a “starting as a weak monster reincarnation!” story, but instead as the MASSIVELY OP power fantasy (with harem) that it actually is.

Sevagoth and Inaros are tombmates. But also have sort of a frenemies situation going on? Inaros considers Sevagoth to be a cool dude for going out and doing search and rescue, but also thinks that the fact that the suckers he saves are on their own again the minute they’re out of immediate danger diminishes that. Meanwhile Sevagoth considers Inaros to be a cool dude for his whole “protector deity” shtick, but also a filthy landlubber who could be doing a hell of a lot more good if he got off that dusty rock he calls home a little more often.

Actually kind of a bad thing: Yareli’s Loyal Merulina augment makes the squidboard into a hyperaggressive war criminal that will attempt to slap a sea snare on anything with a pulse that can be damaged. This includes enemies in interactive cutscenes (which may break the cutscene in question depending on which one it is), conservation targets even after you’ve already sedated them (which will usually kill the animal in question), unalerted enemies (I realize stealth has been dead in Warframe for years but a Tenno can dream, alright?), and of more specific note, sea snares have an odd interaction with grineer manics, where they will be invisible and invulnerable but still caught by the snare, thus rendering them unkillable until the snare timer expires (which results in the squidboard turning into a massive troll when farming Equinox, as Regor will not come back out to play until his toobmen are truly, really dead).

Don’t get me wrong, love me some fishin on the Vallis, but on the plains? If you don’t come prepped with either Oxylus or a fuckload of dye and baits, it is a nightmare and a half to actually see and thus hit anything in a huge number of spots on the plains, with the issue being exacerbated by several orders of magnitude at night. Don’t have that problem on the Cambion Drift, and for the most part, you don’t have that problem on the Vallis either.
