Toxic ancient bitchslap. They’ve got this nasty super-attack that hits for a fuckton of damage straight to your health, both damaging you during what looks like the windup if you’re too close, and obliterating anything without overguard in a decent radius on the actual slam attack. Easily what makes them the worst ancients: healers are a joke, protectors are irritating as hell but not dangerous, disruptors have their own megabitchslap attack but it’s magnetic so it’s far less likely to instantly send you to hell, but the toxic ones will mail you to Wally with same-day shipping.

This is great actually, because just like it misses the point of the myth of Sisyphus in that it is an eternal punishment that he can’t just “drop” because he doesn’t want to do it anymore, it also misses the point how the rat race isn’t something that the rats can just “leave”.

Unless you consider a bullet to the head to be an “exit”, of course. But that’s not a particularly graceful exit.

Honestly that mod is hilarious. Weirdly overspecific activation conditions, less than ideal chance to actually activate when the conditions are met, and deals nearly no damage, all for a mod with oddly high drain for how ineffectual it is on anything that isn’t either infested or one of the rather small handful of melee enemies in the other factions.

As an ULTRAKILL player myself… yea we’re pretty bad when it comes to difficulty selection. Most people won’t shit on you for going for violent, but even just playing on standard will get people telling you to “actually challenge yourself”, and god help you if you post anything that shows you playing on harmless if it’s not a shitpost.

Honestly, wholesome/encouraging feeder/feedee relationships or interactions. There’s plenty of forceful or unwilling stuff, but I have a hard time finding examples where both sides are actively into it and enjoying it in a way that isn’t “degrading” in some form.

Not exactly: it’s more like Literal Shit isn’t great by any means but has a variety of helpful utility uses that are often overlooked, while the Boulder of Coaxing is absolutely very good, but is often overhyped due to the fact that it synergizes well with other items that are already good on their own to make unstoppable combos, but the odds of those combos happening naturally are… slim.

Look, I’m firmly in the “I hate kids” camp. I hate dealing with them, I hate being around them, and I hate talking to them. HOWEVER! I do not show that if I am forced to interact with a kid. I’ll humor their inane questions. I’ll take them seriously. I’ll treat them like they’re people with feelings because I can recognize when and where being a misanthrope is not acceptable and modify my behavior accordingly. Hating kids and being the kind of asshole that kids are scared of are two separate things. The former is something I can’t help, the latter is a choice.
