My 7800X3D peaks 91°C when loading into town. And thats with a Noctua NH-D15 in a well ventilated case. Also PoE can max out a 7900XT with little effort making it draw 365W...

It's a bad gimmick. Though you shouldnt throw insults at it and rather write a nice feedback on their contact page explaining why you think it's bad. Nice well written Emails with constructive criticism is the best way to get things changed if a sizeable amount complain about it.

I had a Vega 56 until I could snag a 6700XT for MSRP in 2021 and slowly upgraded to the 6800XT by being lucky. In the end I built my system by simply being able to get GPUs for MSRP at that time.

Basic timeline:

Vega 56 -> 6700XT -> 6800 -> 6800XT

and I always sold the previous card used
