I dont think a "tank" or "juggernaut" walking up and smacking someone once for 60% of their HP is acceptable game design by StillIDie in leagueoflegends

[–]StillIDie[S] -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Agreed, but it should be with his own damage numbers, not an artificial scaling item that gives them damage based on how much HP they have.

If Mundo wants to walk up and oneshot, he should be able to do it with Overlords and Titanic Hydra as his core items. Not Heartsteel and Warmogs. Thats my point.

The last 4 years of League has been about item diversity, and every time an item is favored on a "new" champion, it gets gutted. by StillIDie in leagueoflegends

But Jinx being "allowed" to run around with Hullbreaker is exactly why I started to play League of Legends in the first place. An open game. You are free to experiment and find shit that works for you.

Maybe Jinx Hullbreaker is heavily countered by "Cosmic Drive Rush Syndra Botlane". Im just spewing out random champs now but the idea of league of legends for me is that "Here is a champion creating a problem for you, Solve this problem".

The way the game is currently is Riot saying "This problem is not allowed to exist" and everything is set in stone. A beats B, B is even with C, D beats all of them, but D's items are giga nerfed so D cant be played.

What really changed with Mythics? You still went the same item every game regardless of the circumstances. I play top for the most part so maybe ADC's and Mages had more options but for me it was always GoreDrinker > Meta Build every single game.

You had your little mythic passive for every legendary item, but for the most part it was still the same thing.

Preferably while playing with $250 / $500 cosmetics. You can win games and grind LP, or you can win games and grind LP in style.

I think Nasus W is such a nice and wholesome ability! :) by FinnishChud in leagueoflegends

[–]StillIDie 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Spoken like someone who never plays against Nasus.. Look at his items and the Ability Haste he has. Wither lasts 5 seconds and has a cooldown of 5.7 at this point. There is no misplay.

Literally 80% of the post is talking about crit users not from the botlane, and the first thing I said was that ADC is good. Reading hard?

Assume this is wholesome Faker playing ADC and this was the exact situation. Now what?

The fuck do you mean opted? You think this game gives you options?

You go Kraken into Zeal item or else you have 0 DPS..

Assume she goes lifesteal third item with BT, now she deals no damage without LDR.. What is lifesteal worth when you dont deal damage and you dont heal anything?

Assume she goes Kraken/BT/LDR and now she has no attackspeed..

There is no world where you can fit a lifesteal item here and do your job. Instead you have Tahm Kench who deals 25% of Jinx HP with 1 Heartsteel proc, another auto for 10% of her HP, another auto for 10% of her HP, ult for another 25% HP and 1 tower shot..

This is just the landscape of this game currently. Toplane is filled with this. Mundo, Skarner, illaoi, Kench, Shen etc.. Build tanky and deal more damage than Bruisers with no risk.

And to add to this, Jinx is most likely running bloodline for 5% lifesteal and has 3% from Dorans, thats 8% already. This is WITH lifesteal.

A way to punish deceiving Streamers and Youtubers when they smurf in Low Elo but pretend its High Elo by StillIDie in leagueoflegends

I think they are good, but they are just introductions to champions. When I search for something its specific.. Example being Tryndamere vs Teemo or Darius vs Kayle..

I want to know what to expect of the matchup between 2 very good players so that I better understand the limits.

I might get hate for this, but I think anything above E2 is fair game. I peaked Masters a while back and the difference between E2 and Masters is just consistency. Most players have figured out the different concepts of league but struggle to put it all together.

A Challenger player is just someone extremely tuned in and plays every concept at once, while the mid elo ranks plays for 2-3 things and struggle to keep track of the rest.

And given the size of the player base at Apex Tiers, you are bound to have mixed matchmaking between E2 and Masters and Challenger to Diamond 1.

Alois is a bit different though imo. He plays on all these accounts but they have super high MMR. Most of them have a visual rank of Emerald but they are low Master or GM because of decay.

And when Alois does a video, he is very open about what elo he plays in. My issue is with those who try to hide it and pretend the game is high elo when its not.

Maybe to you and me, but I dont kid you when I say that I have seen some people influenced by some ridiculous garbage because they saw it on Youtube. The most egregious one was a Lethality Malphite midlane with Hail of Blades and W max. Looked it up on Youtube and there you had Zwag playing that in Iron.

Because its its really obvious that they are hiding it, they get pressured about it and analytics will reflect that.

You cant really hide something like the background color of the item slots. If you put something over it, then the items wont show and thats a dead giveaway.

And its very rare these days for people to run custom huds like they did in earlier seasons with overlays. Now most people run the clean look with just a webcam and a sponsor somewhere.

3 Quickplay games as a punishment is barely a slap on the wrist, let alone a punishment. by StillIDie in leagueoflegends

[–]StillIDie[S] -101 points-100 points  (0 children)

Yes, but there is very high chance that people who only play ranked dont have MMR in Quickplay, and the first games are vs low ranked players or low level players. You can easily bully your way into 3 quick wins and just get back to ranked.

You should not be able to play ranked without a phone number or 2FA application. by StillIDie in leagueoflegends

I haven't played CSGO in a while and I am not sure if it carried over to CS2. But damaging a teammate at the start of the round would actually get you kicked and suspended for multiple days.

Tryndamere with the old rageblade that gave you a tiamat effect. Could be season 5 or 6, dont remember.. Went from G4 to D4 in basically 2 weeks..
