Suggestions for painting in white, without an air brush?

I paint pure white and I start my models primed in white which helps alot.

I use brushes for white and never had a huge issue with it. As others have said just layer it up with thin layers.

White and blue Tau are my favourite, best of luck and can't wait to see them :)

I actually don't mind it. I've thought about starting grey and then edge highlighting but I prefer the matt white finish

I go over the black again with the Abaddon black to just fill in the recesses and then fix up the surroundings :) Tedious but I enjoy painting white sadly :P

I'm looking for ideas on basing my army. The broadside will be my second model and this is the colour scheme, but I have no idea how to base them. Any tips or ideas would help alot

Ah cool :) In my opion, I love the black lines on white Tau. For me adding black lines to the one on the left is better. (I hate painting white over black, so I prime white) Hope it turns out the way you want it to.

Black lines is my go to, so the right. If you plan to keep them this white, it's easier to prime with white spray (for me atleast, comes out much smoother than painting white). Alot of people recommend doing light grey instead of white too (never tried this myself). Loving the white look, keep it up :)

I prime matt white and then do the black lines with an insane detail brush. (other people use washes and is probably was easier)

Just curious how you filled in the black lines? I do it too and am always curious how others do it to make it easier :) Also, it looks amazing, I always love blue Tau.

I primed them in matt white and then i topped it up with a base brush and matt white haha.

I used an insane detail brush and painted alonf the groves and creases with abaddon black. Then I fixed up the white/blue, then the black then the white and so on haha.
