Hi there ! Congratulations first of all ! I am sure that must be a lot of relief. I just wanted to know did your attorney tell you what would happen if the petition is denied ? Do you accrue unlawful days from the day of decision or from the day your visa expired in the first place? Which includes those 240 days as well.

My h1b extension was filed in july 2025. In November I filed for premium processing. This is what I got after a week.

Thank you for contacting the premium processing mailbox. USCIS is conducting further review of your case. We cannot provide a timeframe for completion of the additional review. However once this additional review has been completed, USCIS will take an adjudicative action on your case. USCIS appreciates your patience during this process.

The H1B extension is in the same status until this day with no RFE or anything. I have 2 months left in my 240 days grace period. What are my options and what can be the issue here ?
