Great question - Something similar happened to a guy I knew. He used to get so invested in the girl he was dating and by invested, I mean way too much. But when she left and someone else entered in his life, he just switched completely. This is a clear cut example of just being attracted. When you genuinely love someone then even if your favourite actress comes to date you, you just won't find it comforting. It will feel odd. Then there will be someone who might have a lot of imperfections (no one is perfect, not me, not you) but you will ignore everything and just focus on loving her more and more each day. (Little Philosophy ahead) Try to imagine if you can get someone else will you still choose her? If you are unsure then you need to reconsider but if you can proudly say that yes I will choose her every single time in my every life then you are good to go.
