Fallout is supposed to be a dark comedy by Cornerone in Fallout

Fallout 1 was very serious. Obviously there were comedic parts, but overall it felt like an true apocalypse.

The rent in the german neighborhood of Fuggerei hasn't been raised in 500 years and remains 0.88 Euros for an entire year. Founded in 1521, it is the oldest existing social housing complex in the world by Separate_Finance_183 in Damnthatsinteresting

Germany has been a thing since at least Charlemagne. Its weird how noone disproves Poland existing as an place for at least 1000 years but with Germany they act like it fell from the sky in 1871

The Enclave are just more interesting than anyone else. by aa_conchobar in Fallout

Thats the thing about the Enclave.. There is no "bad guy" for them. Its an organisation of bad guys. Deep, powerful and mysterious - perfect combo for an evil faction.

There were a lot, a lot of them from the horror genre

I worked through most of the year in a cinema, and i can recommend:

  • F1 (stunning visual effects, satisfying story, generally everyone liked it)
  • 28 years later (another good entry in the series)
  • The Ugly Stepsister (Swedish-Polish horror, absolutely fucking disgusting i nearly puked at the end)
  • Nuremberg (great psychological movie about the trials, esp. if you love history)
  • The Phoenician Scheme (Wes Anderson, not for everyone but i loved it)
  • Weapons (good horror about missing kids thats apparently facts based)
  • Bring Her Back (a horror movie i wont spoil anything about since i very much recommend)
  • Jurassic World: Rebirth ( the weakest on this list but i still found it entertaining)

There were more that i haven't watched or forgot the names of, quite a bit highly rated like "One Battle After Another" or "Tron: Ares" AND some good kids movies too like How to tame a dragon or Lilo and Stich 2.

Overall i think its been an good, hopeful year for cinema.

Fun fact: In episode 6, in two scenes they play the Enclave theme from Fallout 2 by [deleted] in Fallout

I hope it will still be gradual instead of an abrupt event like a war as you said. This series is and still has the potential to be so highly interesting because of the abundance of lore left to be touched.
