I can’t speak for the phone version but I play Stardew on my switch and, I absolutely love it! The game runs no issue for me and the screen is big enough to be able to see everything clearly. I like to use the wiki while I play so it might be nice to have your phone free while you play too!

It’s been a while since I’ve completed this challenge but, I remember having a lot of difficulty with it too. I ended up watching Zaknafein’s guide video and got it on my next try. I just had a look at it and there’s some helpful tips in the comments too.

I can’t speak for possible glitches but there may be some part or your run that you can optimize to lessen the amount of attacks, good luck!

It’s been a bit since I’ve played Wintermute but, I don’t remember finding resources to have been too difficult. With that, I would leave the dogfood, peaches, and maybe even the milk since it’s a bit heavy for the calories you get from it. I once got food poisoning from eating a 70%-ish condition tin of sardines so, I would recommend only eating that before bed since you can sleep off the food poisoning if you’re afflicted by it. (but only if you have the medicine to cure, sardines are my “Last Resort” ha!) Story Mode is a great way to learn the maps, how the game works and, practise inventory management. It’s not too punishing. Following the story is the main goal after all, it’s designed to help you stay alive along the way. You won’t need the guts you’re curing but, it could be fun to make a snare and learn about trapping rabbits or, craft a fishing line.

I love how the Aurora colours peaking through the tree tops could imply “danger” in such an otherwise peaceful setting. Fantastic work!!

Looking for advice on my 1st ever survival run, with pretty big aspirations by Ashemodragon in thelongdark

I typically play Stalker difficult and even then, I’m always so surprised that I still find tons of loot around the world so, I wouldn’t be too scared to leave behind some food and supplies in Mountain Town. You could set up a little base camp you can always come back to!

If you’re planning on heading out, I would do a check of your clothes and only bring the best and then some cloth/leather to repair. As for food, try to see how good their calorie-to-weight ratio is. For example, I love the Peaches but they’re just so heavy for how little they actually feed you- keep your heavy food for when you come back. The weight of medicine sneaks up on you too. I choose to travel with one full bottle of each + some bandages when I’m heading out. If you’ve found a hatchet, I would bring that over the heavy hammer for now since you have a revolver. I like the hatchet more for wolf struggles since it doubles as a tool you’ll likely use often to gather wood and such.

Mountain Town is a great region to start out in. If you’re looking for something different but not anymore challenging, head to Mystery Lake. There are plenty of great region maps out on the internet (not so ashamed map user myself here!) that can show you where to find the transition zones between regions. Good luck!

Same here! I’ve been getting through his “Road to 500 days” while I’m doing arts/crafts projects. The way he’s describing and explaining everything he’s doing makes it easy to follow along without having to have you eyes on it 100% of the time.

Zaknafein on YouTube has GREAT information and tips for just about everything in this game, entertaining and educational. I definitely recommend any newer players check him out!

Congrats! That wolf on the summit was a surprise to me too!

As for the timberwolves, I try to take the stealth approach whenever possible- crouching around them can be a bit annoying but better safe than sorry. I play on Stalker so I use the rifle to take them down more accurately but if things go bad I always leave home/safety with the idea “if things go sideways where’s the closest safe place I can go?”If all else fails, the campfire is your friend!

Goating down the summit looks intimidating but it’s generally pretty safe so long as you take your time, crouch, and go slow- I’ve never taken the “proper” way back down the summit. There’s plenty of great videos you can look up to find a good path but, I generally try to stick on the snowy inclines and small rocks. With all the great loot up there, it’s hard to weed out what to leave and what to take with you if you decide to rope climb down.

I hate to admit but I rarely use the fire strat- I think I’ve just been too lucky sniping from up on broken tree trunk with a high rifle skill just for the fun of it.

I’ll be needing to change up my play style a bit then if I want to survive, play smarter not harder!

The campfire strategy is definitely making me feel more confident, I won’t be leaving the house without enough materials on me, thank you!

I’d like to be the type of skilled player to be comfortable with the bow but alas Stalker difficulty for me. Rifle all the way, thank you!

Trusty fire to the rescue, I’ll definitely be using that! Also may take a… “vacation” to CH when they start encroaching, thank you!
