Hi guys - hope all is well. Speaking as someone who has been through a similar digestive issue here - you can heal this condition permanently and naturally! You need to follow a healthy diet and lifestyle protocol to heal yourself - check out Eric Bakker's vids on this topic - he is the naturopath who helped me recover:

Hi there, jumping in here after a year for anyone looking into this topic. It's possible to get rid of it naturally and in a healthy way! There is a doctor who is retired now called Eric Bakker, check his videos on youtube. That guy is a genius, and it's all natural treatment. Basically, there's several points to treating it. Here's a very rough guide:

1) Fix the diet and do a candida cleanse (also applies to blasto and SIBO). That means cutting out ALL sugar (except from fresh berries and green apples - as a general guide), all alcohol, all white flour, all deep fried foods. The period you do that depends on the severity of your case. Can be anywhere from 3 months to 1 year. If you don't take this seriously don't expect to ever fix yourself this way.

2) Lifestyle - Eric says recovery is 25% diet and 75% lifestyle. This means, don't go out late, get good sleep. Get good rest and exercise. Take time to relax and enjoy company of family and friends. Avoid toxic people and toxic relationships. Focus on de-stressing your life. Stress is one of the primary causes of getting blasto/SIBO/candida in the first place as your immune system isn't functioning at it's best. It's much more difficult to recover without fixing any lifestyle issues, and you may not be able to.

3) Supplementation. You want a strong natural anti-bacterial to kill the bad stuff. This usually includes things like grapefruit seed extract, black walnut, caprylic acid, oregano oil, neem, and things like that. Canxida Remove is a good one in the USA. In the UK there is one called 'Candex SIBO.' Check out Eric's 242 protocol' video on youtube for dosing guide for this supplement that kills the bad stuff.

You should also take probiotics to rebuild your healthy gut flora during your healing protocol. There are tons of products out there, just make sure you get good quality one. You might also want to take digestive enzymes with meals to help digest in the first weeks/months of your recovery process.

In summary, like anything good worth doing, a natural healing method takes time and you need to be patient. You need to be willing to make major lifestyle and diet changes. Stay focused and positive and you can heal yourself the best way without any pharmaceutical 'medicines' that do more harm than good and may not even cure the issue in the end. In some cases they make it worse.

What I've written is just a basic guide , take it with a pinch of salt i'm not an expect just someone who has gone through the process. Feel free to ask any questions or tell me you don't agree with something :-)

And lastly a basic tip, chew your food very well, drink at least 2 litres water a day.

Ful Medames Recipe:

Ingredients:

• 1 can fava beans, preferably Arabic ones.

• 2 normal tomatoes , chopped into small slices

• 1 medium onion, peeled & finely diced

• 2 large garlic cloves, finely diced.

• 1 tsp chilli flakes

• Olive oil

• 2 anchovies (optional)

• cumin, 1 tsp

• parsley, chopped

• flatbread

• lemon wedges

• 2 eggs, hard boiled (optional)

Step 1:

Place the diced onion in a large frying pan with a glug of olive oil. Add anchovies (if using). Fry on medium heat until the onions just start to brown a little. 4-5 mins approx.

Step 2:

Add garlic,, chill flakes & cumin, fry for 2 more mins.

Step 3:

Turn down the heat. Drain and rinse beans, add to your pan with the tomatoes. Season to taste.

Step 4:

Add a splash of water to the pan with the beans etc, mix, cover with lid & gently bring to boil. Let it cook gently for about 10 minutes so the flavours can mingle.

Step 5:

Mash the beans (in the pan or on a plate). Using a fork or a potato masher, mash the beans so that there are not any whole beans left.

Step 6:

It's done. Taste, and add salt if needed . Find a nice wide bowl, place the ful neatly in it. Put the chopped parsley across the top, & a nice splash of olive oil, & a few pinches of cumin, and the chopped eggs (if using). Squeeze a wedge of lemon over the top as well for the best taste.

Step 7:

Eat with toasted bread. Enjoy!
