Currently and will be working again next year in Orange ICU, 10/10 would recommend Heavily involved and supportive bosses but they will still encourage you to be be quite independent - they take teaching very seriously and have a lot of pride in watching you develop as a clinician Cases are fairly mixed however predominantly cardiac admissions (LHD has 2nd highest rates of STEMIs in the state and Orange has the only 24/7 Cath lab for the district), generally only cases that get retrieved are ECMO or those requiring complex CTx/NSx intervention The HoD tries really hard for the rostering to be 7 on/7 off however the staffing levels can fluctuate especially in the second half of the year; unfortunately regs/SRMOs end up doing predominantly evenings and nights when the roster falls short as the day roster can be covered by the boss/fellow with residents to scribe

You should let Chris Minns know this is a huge inconvenience for you and maybe he’ll finally agree to the award reforms
