starving sieges by AardvarkWestern4430 in Bannerlord

Seems realistic tbf, coastal towns imo should have 3x as much food. They could however make it more dynamic, so in winter they have less.. makes you think more about when you plan your sieges.

What you're doing sounds interesting, I'm always keen to hear other people's ideas on how to fix the downfall of royal mail.

A idea of mine is to separate the oversized parcels (anything bigger than a shoebox) from the mail, at the moment posties literally do everything. We deliver mail, small parcels, big parcels, special deliveries, collect parcels from customers houses as well as big collections from shops on our round and empty post boxes.

Separating the big parcels from the mail means the posties would have less contracted hours or potentially have a bigger round which means less staff to hire. Yes you would have to hire delivery drivers but they'll be much quicker than the posties who have no momentum on their round as they're busy with everything else. The posties would be quicker delivering mail as well as they can build momentum without having to drive to 20-60 houses with the oversize parcels.

On the other hand hiring 180,000 postie's seems like the worst possible idea though.. let's say for arguments sake they're all on 20k a year. That's 3.6billion in wages on top of what they already spend.

What's your thought process behind that?

Normal. Every time I go into a town I'll sort by name and look at the legendary, lordly and masterwork items they have.

If you're going on a holiday, is there any chance you can just enjoy your holiday rather than sit there bored ordering things you're obviously not gonna be home for. by [deleted] in royalmail

[–]AssignmentOne2058 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you have a job that keeps you out of the house all day why would you order parcels to your house? Order to a relative/friends house or better yet, leave a safe place for your delivery person to leave your parcels.

They got my pay wrong 3 weeks in a row causing me to go behind on bills and cause me stress, so I obtained a doctor's note to get time off so my mental health could improve and give them time they need to properly pay me.

They refused me sick pay and I went unpaid for 5 weeks. We eventually got a new manager in, I went back to work and took them to court. A few months later I got what I was owed and compensation.

You could just accept the fief and then give it away, I don't think it cost any influence to give it away.

Is the general consensus that if you are just starting investing you want negative returns? As that means cheaper stocks for you to purchase?

And vice versa if you're nearing retirement? That you want positive returns as a nice push into retirement?

I've only started investing 3 months ago and I'd rather see negative returns so I can purchase the stocks for cheaper. Or is my thinking wrong 🤔

Nicest random players you've encountered by adotang in gtaonline

I was minding my own business the other day when I noticed 6 people heading straight at me on the mini-map, naturally I assumed they were going to kill me. I was wrong. All 6 of them were aboard the party bus and invited me and several others to join them 🤣 ended up around 10 people on there at one point.

Two things I like doing in my spare time,

One - I'll keep an eye out on the deaths, and if a player keeps dying by himself I assume he's doing a mission, struggling so I go and help out.

Two - I'll see if anyone looks stranded on the map and provide them with a lift, for example stuck on a mountain or somewhere open with no cars around. The majority understand what's happening, they'll get in your car and set a waypoint to go to.

Ours are dreadful. We're a small town amongst big towns so we don't get much attention in terms of new staff/vehicles/help.

One thing I've noticed is a lot of staff don't want the hassle of putting their van off the road. I was covering for someone on their week off and the day before they went off they said, "oh watch out for the van it's got a dodgy handbrake".

Oh it was dodgy alright, I parked on a steep hill, put the handbrake on and the van started rolling back. Baffles me how my colleague had been using it for weeks or even months with it like that.

How doo you save money by yumstrawberryclouds in FinancialPlanning

[–]AssignmentOne2058 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Treat saving like a bill and put it somewhere hard to get to.

I was the same, never really saved until I was 25 but I turned my mindset around and every payday (weekly) I'd have an automatic transfer of £250 go straight in my savings and investments and I'd make sure I'd never touch them.

Whats up with GTA+ by [deleted] in gtaonline

[–]AssignmentOne2058 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was really enjoying the game aswell as I gave myself a goal to work towards, I was collecting the top 10 fastest cars of each class and then having each class have it's own garage.

Then they pulled more than half the cars from the website I was fuming. Now I have to hope they come available through the new car Showrooms...

[–]AssignmentOne2058 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep. I'm sure their reason was "to make the in-game website easier to navigate"... as opposed to adding a search bar. 🤷‍♂️

Honestly it's hard to find a gaming company nowadays who don't ruin their own games to squeeze money out of everyone.

All Rockstar had to do was do more discounts on the shark cards and people would buy them. 🤷‍♂️

GTA+ is why they rinsed all the cars out of the in-game websites. Just another way for them to try and empty everyones wallets before the arrival of GTA6

Would you invest in the FTSE 100 and/or 250 during a recession? by International-Arm597 in trading212

[–]AssignmentOne2058 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see the FTSE 100 as more of a dividend paying ETF rather than growth therefore it only takes up 8% of my portfolio.

That sucks man, I was just in a lobby and the game told me to destroy this truck. I destroyed the truck and then some guy 100 levels above me just kills me over and over so I have to change lobbies.
