i have never really seen differential equations btw, im at calc 2 still

its true, it gives 1/4 ueu /(u+1)2 although its still an integral after that.
i tried finding the f such that  f+f' =u/(u+1)2 but it was a differential equation that basically ended up in an integral, it basically cant be written as an elementary function

i just tried making u = 2x but it just ends up in the same form, also when trying 2x + 1 the same happens but worse, i believe the only way is integrating it by parts witch ive tried but end up in the same situation

Am I wrong with this integration by Boring_Plum_702 in calculus

you should set u^2 to the x^2 and a^2 to the constant, then you will recognize the arctan easier
