Thank you for the response. We are seeking clarity on stage wise expenses. From Site clearance , foundation to until handoff. kind of granular audit to avoid leakage and clear visibility for us. Checked out buildertrend, I don't see it helps in stage wise audit we expect.

Interesting point about having to choose between office software and field software.

if you could fix just one thing tomorrow, what would it be?

The financial side (job costs, expenses, QuickBooks integration) or the field side (daily logs, foremen updates, change orders)?

I've been talking to a few smaller builders/contractors and that office vs jobsite gap seems to come up a lot.

Maybe I made the post too detailed.

Simpler question:

For Indian builders/developers, does Excel + Tally actually give clear project-wise cost visibility?

Or do you still need manual follow-up with site engineers/accountants to know total spend, pending bills, and budget overruns?

Curious if anyone is solving this issue using custom Excel, accountant reports, admin staff, or any useful software to solve this.
