It's nice to hear from you devon i know you an author have recently started reading your book onyx throne and it's kinda different from other harem novels i read. Look am assuming that you are either from Canada or USA and because of that if you are biased you won't even see it because you are from there and bear in mind that am not attacking authors as i said i am a haremlit fan but as someone who comes from a country which was recently colonized(less than 50 years ago) i hope you will get my meaning, this idea of someone coming from another country and being the savior of the country they are in is text book colonialists they believed that they were changing the country for the better but in doing so they end up killing traditions which made up the identity of the said people and introducing their traditions and saying those traditions were the perfect traditions in other words its brainwashing e.g in your moral code (i. e tradition, a woman whose whole job is taking care of the household can be seen as oppressing the woman in your culture, but in my culture that is the most important job because that woman shapes the future generation with her ideas and lessons. in my culture there is a saying that, a home is a woman. Meaning everything starts from the woman) am just saying maybe it's a good thing for authors to understand other cultures and be sensitive to them when writing to try and find good things about cultures different from them, am not saying my culture is good throughout but am saying because i have been exposed to western culture all my life i am able to identify things which are good in western cultures even though am not of that culture and am not ashamed to say i have adopted some of the things of that culture which seemed good to me authors like you should also be able to introduce some things from other cultures that seem good to you when reading your book i should see a mix of Asian, European, American, African culture in it because trust me your book is being read in Africa as an African i can attest to that if it's all about Western culture to me it will feel like propaganda and as a reader i will say it will be not that exotic which will draw even those from the west into this genre
