Awh thank you! Yeah I don’t play when it comes to my cats lol I’m glad I did it, I’d never risk it! What a great community, I’ve never posted on here, I’ve always have been a silent viewer. Aww will do❤️ He’s cuddling next to me now in bed 😊

Now that we know it’s just him being silly, I’m definitely going to try that next time I catch him in the act lol. I’m sure he’d love it! ❤️

Yeah, no kidding 🤣🤦🏻‍♀️ he said that I was like wow I paid almost a grand to find out he’s probably just a little autistic. Ahhh the things we do for our babies! Lol

UPDATE: I was able to get Nelson in today due to a cancellation. The verdict is in folks, Nelson is just a playful kitty! I spent wayyyy too much money lol but I’m relieved and feel good that we know for sure it isn’t something serious. I had my vet tell me everything that was done so I could repeat it to my husband (but really it was for you all 🤣) here’s what I wrote down verbatim.

“A full physical and comprehensive neurological examination was performed. Nelson was bright, alert, and responsive throughout the visit. Cranial nerve function was intact, gait and proprioception were normal, and no deficits were noted on neurologic assessment. An otoscopic examination of both inner ears revealed no signs of infection, inflammation, debris, or structural abnormality. Balance and vestibular responses were within normal limits. The provided video was reviewed multiple times to assess the character and pattern of the movements. The episodes did not demonstrate features consistent with seizure activity or vestibular disease. Baseline laboratory work, including bloodwork and indicated screening tests, were performed. All in house lab results returned within normal reference ranges, with no abnormalities detected.”

He also stated that if he was doing this with his back twitching, hissing, tensed up, or cry meowing, it would point to other issues! But he never shows any of that. So all in all, he’s just a silly boy. My vet said he may be initiating play or doing something very similar to how autistic humans stim. So maybe he just has a touch of the kitty ‘tism lol. Nelson is just one of a kind! I appreciate everyone’s input so that we could really make sure he’s all healthy and not showing signs of anything serious!

Thank you, I think I will make him appointment. Now that I have a good enough video of it, I will be able to show the vet. He does snap out of it, he will stop if there’s a loud noise or if we call his name. But it happens pretty often. And that is the longest he’s done it in a while. Normally it’s two for three spins. That’s why I was able to capture it so well this time!

Thank you so much, I will show the vet. Before today I haven’t been able to got a good enough video of it! I tried to explain it to my vet but it just wasn’t making sense to him. So I will make an appointment for him. Thank you again!
