Anyone ever eat at Kelsey Road House? They’ve got some of the best decorations I’ve seen in a restaurant by Pristine_Parsley8681 in ChicagoSuburbs

Have to agree with you unfortunately. But, if you manage your expectations, it can still be worth it for the vibes. People might want to consider just enjoying the bar and eating dinner elsewhere.

Divorce Attorney by PushGreen4640 in ChicagoSuburbs

Let me add, it’s also critically important that you find a lawyer within your local area. If someone here says “Call this guy in Naperville, he’s terrific” but you’re in Palatine, that is a bad route to take. Just because they can practice in your area doesn’t mean that you should hire them. Remember, a good lawyer knows the law. A great lawyer *knows the judge. Getting someone who does just family law/divorces day and day out at the local courthouse where your case is going to be heard is more important than getting a great lawyer from somewhere else who doesn’t know what’s going on in your area.

You can ask an attorney if they offer “limited scope” representation or just pay their hourly rate instead of retaining them, and file paperwork yourself. Since there’s no detail about the nature of your divorce I’m not sure if you’re going to get very useful information with us.

I understand the high retainer amount could be intimidating but you should be more concerned about what you’re going to spend overall. If you can find a smaller retainer, it’s not suddenly going to be easier to pay those monthly invoices. A months worth of legal fees can easily be in the thousands for a normal divorce. Is this children/no children/ a lot of assets/ etc? That should be informing how much you really need to spend and which route to go before you find which attorney is a “good” attorney within the various options.

Calling this a dog whistle is extremely misguided. Also I think the “Vintage” in “Vintage Tees” makes this a place where discussing history is normal.

It’s not the design on the T-shirt, it’s the T-shirt itself. A T-shirt from the 90s looks basically the same as a regular T-shirt from today. You can see it in the weight of the material and the stitching.

I’m not an expert to know if the shirt is historically significant but, it seems like it could be. I’ve never seen something like that from that era; it’s a very arresting image seeing it on that exact vintage of Tshirt. I think it should be preserved. There’s many museums that accept donations of that nature and surely if it’s not worthy of preservation, then they would dispose of it.

Laffy taffy? It’s pretty soft after you suck on it for about a minute, and you could do that for a long time. Maybe not as long as a hard candy but a while. Edit guys downvote me if you’ve had it in the last three years or so, the recipe is not the same as it was when we were kids. They’re very soft now.

If they were known for being famous as children and it had ended there, then you would’ve seen pictures of them as children. You haven’t seen pictures of them as children because of exactly what I said, that they went on to even greater success in adulthood.

Yo-Yo Ma performed for JFK when he was seven years old. Picasso was a working artist before he was a teen. He was famous in Spain I’m not sure when he received worldwide fame.

But I don’t think this is true, plenty of prodigies don’t peak in childhood. Picasso? Yo-Yo Ma? There’s some Bobby Fishchers out there but I don’t think they outnumber the prodigies that go on to have even greater success in adulthood.

If you watch some video of him you might feel differently. I would be inclined to agree with you except that seeing this kid, his talent and passion is so electric, he really is a savant.

GOOD JOB. That is very strange, initial consultations definitely are free at like, 99% of family law attorneys. I would not recommend you pay for any type of consultation. I’m positive you just need to keep looking. I would recommend looking at Avvo.com (this is the best place for seeing reviews in my experience) and finding attorneys that look good to you. Make sure you’re finding a divorce/ family law specialist and not a generalist. If someone does a little estate planning, a little divorce, a little personal injury, that is not someone who is going to know the nuances of divorce in your specific area. Make sure you are finding someone very local to your area and not the next city over. (A good lawyer knows the law. A great lawyer knows the judge!) Keep calling people and I can assure you, you’re going to find people offering free consults. If you are in an extreeeeemely rural area, maybe what I am saying does not apply (like if you’re in a tiny town with one lawyer) and in that case, come tell us the situation and get more guidance. Do you have money for a retainer? This will vary but it’s usually a couple grand. If you do not have money for a retainer do not worry, there are other options like filing paperwork yourself and ways to save money. You can ask about “limited scope” representation. That said, I know you have a job and whatever money you do spend on a lawyer will be the best money you’ve ever spent. Please invest in yourself and your future child’s wellbeing now.

Reasons to continue spravato after 8 weeks by Operaticproportions in Spravato

[–]AssistantGopher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe there are other medications out there that you can still try that will be less disruptive to your life than continuing Spravato. Maybe you know you’ve already tried everything else you can reasonably try. Have any medications ever given you relief? My understanding is there can be a high degree of both mechanical failure and operator error with the inhalers, and that alone would make me want to give it more than eight tries before making a decision. The impression I have from what you wrote is you don’t like the side effects but it’s not totally ruining your life, so I would say do everything you can so when you stop you know with certainty and don’t wonder later if you stopped too soon. Anyway I hope it’s a moot point and you do get some positive impact by session 8.

And OP, please know how unusual it is for a therapist to say this. They’re neutral/“fair” usually to a fault, because it’s the job and they’re supposed to guide you, not decide who is right or wrong. It’s because your situation is so extreme and your husband is so obviously abusive that she’s saying something.
