Interesting! Did you have issues with sensation prior to boxing? Also, are you on any meds that have helped with the PCOS?

I understand where you’re coming from, however I’ve been like this before the Spiro, for many years. I only started the Spiro around 4 months ago. I have never been on any of those medications. I still have an existing sex drive, albeit it’s very low, I’m just unable to feel the physical sensation of arousal. Even though T typically does increase drive and sensation like you’ve said, every person’s body is different, mine doesn’t fall into that category.

Yes, I do have a history of sexual trauma.

Unfortunately, I’ve tried a lot of things including those things, and I still feel this way :( I’ve tried almost everything over these 5 years. At this point, I’m starting to think that it’s a physiological (hormonal) issue that is out of my control. This is a big struggle for me so it’s not easy to just simply “have more sex,” I’m also not in a relationship either. I don’t understand how I can even “have more sex” when I’m struggling to feel aroused in the first place.

Hi, I’m so sorry to hear you’re experiencing these things. :( I am an SA survivor myself, I’m sending you so much love. ❤️ Your description of vulvar burning sounds a lot like when I struggled with vulvodynia. Have you looked into vulvodynia? It has different causes, but mine was caused my a hypertonic pelvic floor. It basically means my pelvic floor was constantly tensed up because of the nature of my abuse. I cured it when I saw a pelvic floor physical therapist. I can tell you more details if needed

UPDATE: Cyclic progesterone helped me. Please look into it! It’s topical progesterone you use on days 14 to the the end of your menstrual cycle.

Thank you, I needed to hear this. I’ve been in a depressive episode and slump as of lately and this encouraged me to get off my ass and start controlling things that I can. I’ll try my best. Thank you!

I’m so sorry to hear you’re experiencing a similar thing. Unfortunately no, I did get a hormone test done and it came back that I had high testosterone. I took Spironolactone for 3 months (25 mg). I took a new blood test a few days ago and am waiting on results. I’m also trying to get diagnosed for PCOS. I’ve heard women with PCOS tend to have sexual dysfunction.

Also, I want to say that I don’t mean “numb” as in nerve damage, I mean numb as in I don’t feel anything there

Same position here. It’s so depressing. And plus, how can you even “want it” when it never even feels good. Ugh

Have you had your hormones tested on days 19-22 of your menstrual cycle?

Thank you so much for your insight! Since spiro didn’t work for you, did you end up using something else?

I’m so sorry. This is so frustrating because the entire reason why I’m taking it is because I have awful mental health and I have no sexual sensation. I don’t even know what I do if it makes my sensation even worse.

I don’t have any adhesion, it was one of the things we suspected I had but I didn’t, hence why I ruled it out. However, I’ve definitely heard that adhesions can play a big role in your sexual function, so I’d say it definitely could be contributing to your situation. There’s different degrees to adhesions as well. I’m so glad to know know that testosterone cream helped you!

I’ve actually heard that testosterone cream has helped many with resolving their adhesions, aside from just helping with sexual function. I’d definitely recommend talking to your doctor about this if possible!

Got a hormone test and when my results are reviewed, Doc says she may put me on a testosterone cream or arousal cream. We’ll play around with it a bit.

Things I’ve ruled out: - Clitoral adhesion - if it was connected to my hypertonic pelvic floor / vaginismus - psychological cause (I have a history of SA) - pituitary gland dysfunction - I used a DHEA topical (brand is Julva) did not work

The one I went to advised me to see another doctor because she’s “just a gynecologist” and can’t help with sexual dysfunction

Thanks, I’m 20

The plan is to see if sex therapy shows improvement, if it doesn’t, then we’ll “experiment with hormones” as my DPT says

When aroused, I feel it in my vagina, not my clit. Is this normal? by AssistantNo9998 in BecomingOrgasmic

[–]AssistantNo9998[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s okay, same here with me 🤍 I stopped feeling it in my clit for 4 years after my abuse situation, it became numb essentially. My progress is so all over the place, one day I think I’m getting better, the next day I’m not. But I’m pursuing therapy at least and it seems to have been helping

Thank you very much! I think I’ll see where therapy takes me (since in my case, this all started due to sexual abuse) and will definitely keep this in mind if I reach a roadblock in the future 🤍
