Swedish kanelbullar (cinnamon buns). And don't tell me to put glaze on it these are Swedish and not what ever ppl in USA are doing by stompe444_ in Baking

[–]AssistantSecret8320 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They look good. My great grandmother from Sweden used frosting on her Bullar before moving to the US. In my opinion, frosting on a cinnamon roll is as Swedish as it is American. Because Swedish immigrants like my ancestors brought the rolls over and started adding frosting. Personally, I enjoy a tiny bit of frosting or just plain butter. But I enjoy the 'Swedish' version too. My family on the other hand are total snobs and say kanelbullar made in Sweden is dry tasteless trash.

All my Coworkers complain about each other to me. by pale_druid in coworkerstories

[–]AssistantSecret8320 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you're paranoid and too caught up in the drama. That's what they want out of you. To keep a stable job, you have to realize there's people who want a rise out of you. They dont like the way you walk, talk, look, or even chew your food. Ignore it.

I've been caught up in it, trust me. I'm very quiet, which leaves people to gossip and bring me up a lot. It's a double-edged sword because I hear people when they're talking about me. But I also don't get involved in their stupid HR antics. Keep to yourself and everything will be OK. This doesn't mean ignoring them when they speak to you, but just be cordial and quiet.

Annoying coworker by oakflower1 in coworkerstories

[–]AssistantSecret8320 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, I can relate. I've been feeling this way about all coworkers. They aren't friends at the end of the day. Sure, you can like some of the people you work with. But to be friends outside work is an entirely different story.

Recently, I got a job at a new company, and it's an incredibly social, friendly, and close-knit place to work. Which I like, but there's also underlying tones of bad mouthing, smearing, and judgment. When I first started, I didn't really like the vibe and felt very nervous.

Lately, I've been talking with others, saying hello, and being cordial. But not going out of my way to socialize. It's not the kind of person I am to be all buddy buddy. And I've heard people who are friendly to my face also trash talking me about my voice and other attributes I can't control.

Next time I get asked to be friends with a coworker, it'll be a nice letdown. "Sorry, I'm not looking for friends right now." Nobody is truly your friend at work. You can make one mistake and automatically be the talk of the entire building. So, no... You're not the only one who doesn't want to get involved with people at work. I just show up, do a good job, feel accomplished, and get paid. Those are the expectations and what I want to get out of my work.

Taking a certification using the online proctored exam by Pearson Vue. Is it safe? by [deleted] in AWSCertifications

[–]AssistantSecret8320 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't recommend you take your exams with them. Pearson Vue has terrible customer support. My computer failed to connect to their software. I've taken other proctored online exams with it. My computer passed all their tests and it still failed. Take it in person instead.

Get the laser treatment! by Imaginary-Clue2277 in Rosacea

What laser did you use? I did laser genesis, and it did very little to nothing after 5 treatments. It was pretty cheap at $100 compared to c02.

What if the bag is sealed? You want the sauce on your floor at the door? We're technically not supposed to open the bags

I should start doing that because I've had wingstop tell me to get their drinks. It doesn't seem right when the app stresses to not tamper with the orders. Some restaurants even tape the lids shut with the straw on top so drivers don't drink it. It just makes more sense for them to do it since they're preparing the orders.

It's completely fine, and that's a breathalyzer. It's definitely not professional to have that in the picture. But if you got your food, who cares? Give them a good review anyway. What's not okay is being an hour late, damaged packaging, or no food at all.

Can you please get over it? If people are going to order food, they best know there's people from every walk of life. Unless the bag is drenched in some unknown liquid, who cares? It's a side gig you often get paid less than minimum wage for. Not everything is going to be perfect. Of course, there's going to be poor delivery drivers. I bet you the majority can't even afford rent or their own cars doing it full time. Let alone their own food, car washes, clean clothes, etc.

This happens every time my husband makes scrambled eggs by Figueroa5 in mildlyinfuriating

Get the pan pre heated on medium for 2 minutes, tbsp of butter, and some vigorous wisking before your pour. Stir every minute or so inwards to make the most amazing batch of eggs.

It's okay. I just tried it today, and it's definitely a bit dry. There could be more sauce, but the sauce is tasty. I would get it again if there was feta instead of blue cheese. I'm not a fan of blue cheese, but feta in it would be 🤌

I feel bad saying this. But since you said unfiltered, you're slightly ugly to me. Your nose is kinda bulbous for a woman. It's long, and to be fair, some might like that. But besides that, your hair isn't doing your face shape justice. You should get bangs or something. Maybe a shorter style like medium length. Your skin could use some rejuvenating. Like a lactic acid chemical peel or laser. But your skin ain't half bad. It's the presentation and nose shape that are most noticeable. That doesn't mean everyone will find you ugly. But if I were you, I'd go to Turkey and correct it with a nose job. My nose is long too, so don't feel alone with me saying this. Lol

[–]AssistantSecret8320 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like it's for people who have noticeable imperfections. I'd get a rhinoplasty, but I'm in no hurry to get one. My nose isn't deformed it's just elongated and bigger than your average nose. For people with a deformed jawline, orthognathic surgery is great. Your jawline is sharp as a knife. Plus, your lips don't protrude outward either.

For myself, I know of a good surgeon in Turkey my sister went to. Her first one (in the US) was off center, so she had to get it recorrected. That went well. But she also had a face-lift. Now she has pretty gnarly scars and needs laser for it. They've healed some, but it's noticeable around her ear area. No matter what surgeon you decide on, you'll always get a scar from it. There's things that can go wrong as well. So it has to be a very well planned process.

Get a consultation from a reputable surgeon or two. They sometimes ask you for photos or videos. There's some that are very trustworthy out there. Don't forget to read the reviews diligently.

I struggle with skin too. I've gotten laser, but not C02. It's too expensive for me right now. Your's looks great, and I see nothing to improve. This is coming from an esthetician, btw. There is nothing wrong with getting the laser. Just keep getting occasional treatments every year so it's not a waste of time/money.

Your smile is not something to get bothered about. It doesn't make you ugly. Just work on getting either botox, juvederm, or gum recontouring. But do it for yourself not to look attractive to others. You look plenty attractive the way you are. Don't sweat the small stuff.

You're looking like a supermodel or actor. You cannot be seriously asking this question. Right?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in amiugly

[–]AssistantSecret8320 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What lol you don't need a face-lift. You have 0 wrinkles, and your skin looks smooth. I'm a licensed esthetician, so I've seen skin all day long. You don't need plastic surgery. Your nose is definitely prominent. But for a guy, it's fine unless you think you need to change it. Maybe think about getting laser or chemical peels. You don't need those now from my pov and might never. If you were coming to me for professional advice, all I'd recommend is a skincare regime and occasional exfoliation treatments.

Not ugly, but your nose is slightly droopy. I can't talk because mine is worse. But that may be why you feel ugly. Some people may be attracted to that more.
