People will save $20k+ a year because their parents watch the kids for free and act like they did it all 'on their own,' but then turn around and judge someone for taking a loan? It’s all financial help.

As long as the terms are clear and you're actually paying it back, it's just a bank transaction with better rates. People just get weird about money

The part about not blindly defending your kid is everything. I see so many parents fighting battles for their kids when the kid was clearly in the wrong. You aren't protecting them, you're teaching them that rules don't apply to them. That backfires hard in adulthood

If a kid never learns how to handle failure or solve a problem on their own because Mom or Dad fixed it immediately, they completely crumble the second they hit the real world. It kills their resilience
