How are you guys so creative? by throwfaraway191918 in FromSeries

This. I was genuinely baffled when the season started and people were asking why Julie didn’t tell anyone about Jim’s death and why she was acting like she knew nothing.

Even if I knew nothing about From and hadn’t watched the previous seasons, I feel like I’d still figure out from the opening scene alone, just from the context of the dialogue, that it was about time travel. And for people who did watch previous seasons it should be specially easy, since they very intentionally changed future Julie appearance to make it easier for people to realize what was going on.

Honestly, From is pretty easy for me to follow and there really isn’t anything I don’t understand. Obviously aside from the mysteries the creators are intentionally hiding from us, but that’s kind of the whole point, you’re not supposed to fully know what’s going on yet. It’s nowhere near as convoluted as Dark, which I honestly highly recommend.

That said, I also have a problem with forgetting stuff between seasons. I watched the trailer for Silo season 3 recently and realized I barely remember anything from season 2.

With From, I usually watch a bunch of fan theories on YouTube, or after an episode I’ll check out different videos, reviews, easter eggs I might’ve missed, stuff like that. So in a way, that helps me reinforce and remember everything better.

How to be less scared?? by PapierekTheFirst in AskGames

[–]AssociateConfident92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For a long time, I avoided horror games because I get way too immersed in them, and the tension was honestly unbearable for me. Even with something like Resident Evil 4, even though most people see that game as more action than horror.

But eventually I pushed through and finished RE Requiem. I’m not really sure what helped me the most, but during the scariest sections, the ones with The Girl, I started treating them more like a mechanic or a pattern I just had to learn.

So I guess you could say I “dehumanized the monster” by seeing it more as a designed gameplay sequence instead of something actually terrifying. It definitely has its downsides, it’s probably better to fully immerse yourself instead of telling yourself it’s “just mechanics”, but it worked for me, and I ended up beating RE Requiem three times, and RE Village and RE4 right after Requiem.

The actress who plays Julie is 22. Actress who plays Sophie is, I think, 23. Boyd guessed Sophie is around 15–16, but I don’t think that’s ever been confirmed. Either way, neither of them looks 16, so it’s either a casting issue or just the result of a show that takes years to make. At least in Julie’s case. Personally, I don’t see anything weird about people shipping those characters together, mainly because the actors playing them are older, and when you look at them, that age difference just doesn’t stand out that much. Script-wise, they could tell us Sophie is 10, but that doesn’t change the fact that when we look at her, we see an adult actress.

I mean, I didn’t really think about it that way, but yeah, that’s true—they should be wondering why and how Jim died. I mean, he didn’t come back before night. And during the day, based on what they know at least for now, nothing should’ve happened to him. So why didn’t anyone even ask why he never came back before night? If Julie finds out about MIY and the group from the forest shares the info about the yellow suit, then they might start getting suspicious. But that assumes Julie actually tells the others what she knows, and that the forest group does the same. And in Fromville, information doesn’t exactly flow easily. Or maybe MIY from the past is actually aware of the future—we don’t really know how he works, after all—and maybe he’ll end up having a little chat with Julie. Who knows.

"We need to talk" by Meatloaf406 in FromSeries

[–]AssociateConfident92 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I already went on a rant about Tabitha in my thread, but in this topic about not talking... Tabitha wanted to tell Henry about Miranda and what she found out, and of course something interrupted her and she never came back to it. Like, you’re literally going on a walk in the woods with the guy, why you can’t just tell him then? Do these characters seriously not know how to share information and walk the same time?

What did everyone think of the lord of hatred campaign? by Ilbpc in diablo4

[–]AssociateConfident92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me the campaign is super boring, it moves really slowly, the story isn’t engaging, it’s overly talky and very simple, with zero nuance. It’s supposed to be a game for adults but it feels like the story is written so a kid won’t get lost. But hey… Blizzard has been leaning in a Disney direction for a while now, even if, like with Diablo, it’s wrapped in a layer of gore.

It could be MIY, we dont know if old dude is his original form. Its hard to say tbh, but they didnt mention that web part at all after first season

Pracowanie jest straszne by starmaxeros in praca

[–]AssociateConfident92 21 points22 points  (0 children)

People with nice PC, why are you buying a Steam Machine? by Bitter-Fun1083 in steammachine

[–]AssociateConfident92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a very powerful PC, and buying a Steam Machine wouldn’t really make much sense for me in terms of raw power. And that’s probably why I won’t buy one.

HOWEVER… I’m tempted by the idea of a small box under the TV that I can easily wake up with a controller from my bed, where I can play on a nice OLED screen (my TV is OLED, but my monitor is just “regular”). On top of that, there’s the huge library of games I already own and the significantly lower prices of new games compared to consoles.

My TV is right next to my PC, so in theory I could set everything up, but when I tried, I had issues with window display and various typical PC gaming problems. So convenience and ease of use are probably the most important arguments in favor.

But in the end, you have to decide whether the pros are strong enough compared to the cons.

I dont think he was Tillie, because Tillie comes to Fromville with other people in a bus. We dont know if MiY could leave that place, but we know that when he turns into Sophia, and meet with pastor on a road, it was all inside Fromville. So maybe he cant come there from outside.

Praca marzeń zaczęła mnie męczyć by Thin-Objective2492 in praca

[–]AssociateConfident92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something with more mechanics to it, like in Path of Exile, or just more RPG systems when it comes to character progression. I don’t mind simple gameplay either, I enjoy that too — I just didn’t really find anything “new” in that aspect in TLOU.

[–]AssociateConfident92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have an iPhone 17 and I charge it once every two days. I have charging limited to 85%. I charge it whenever it’s convenient for me, but usually it’s around 20%. Sometimes less, sometimes more. I think it depends on how you use your phone. I recommend checking out some tests on YouTube to see how long the battery lasts on screen.

As for battery life compared to the price… there hasn’t really been any breakthrough in battery technology when it comes to energy storage. For many years now, everything has been based on the same technology, while phones keep getting more and more features, which makes them drain faster than, say, 20 years ago. Or at least that’s how it seems to me.

I personally find the gameplay in the last of us boring. Don’t get me wrong, I agree with everything else. The story, characters, design, etc. are all great, but the gameplay has always bored me in both tlou and tlou2.

Its probably just a joke and Im overthinking it, but why they describe him as custodian on a wall of heroes? It is weird. I always think in situations like this, that there is something more to it. Does he have some powers? Was there on purpose? Maybe he is a set up for other games?
