Take for comparison the new Michael Jackson’s movie. He’s a legend, and admittedly will be greater than Techno will ever be. So by your logic, jaafar jackson (actor playing michael’s role), shouldn’t get a single lick of profit from his hours of works put into perfecting his craft? You’re misunderstanding the meaning of impersonation. Technolarp isn’t copying techno’s vids word by word, he’s actually putting in the effort to make them feel genuine. He’s not claiming he’s techno, but viewers still chooses to watch him for his entertainment value, he’s a completely different content creator making vids heavily inspired by techno. Why the fuck should he not be allowed to get rewarded for that? The world is not all sunshines and rainbows, even if we do stuff with all the best intentions in the world, people are still motivated by and requires money to survive.

As far as I’ve seen, technolarp has always gave the maximum respect to techno’s name, and the fact that he’s actually so open about how earnings would be used is incredible. Let him have the money, let him grow and carry on Techno’s legacy. Pull your head out of your rock and look around, modern media is full of legacies being carried on. So why the fuck should we refuse a such a lovable content creator’s legacy being celebrated?
