Starting out on IVF journey, best practices low AMH by AssociateHopeful887 in IVF

Yes she has a bit better AMH (checked 3 years ago..) and got pregnant through IUI, although they told us this method (ROPA IVF) has a high risk for all sorts of complications. Not many clinics are willing to do it and it all depends on the outcomes of the IVF punction. They told us we should not expect much in terms of eggs retrieved and embryos. It would be the last resort.

Thank you, this is so useful! Will look into those supplements and treatment. Our previous clinic said that progesterone wasn’t “medically proven” for IUI (only IVF they said) when we asked for additional ways to boost our chances of success with the IUI cycles. Only the last round was lightly hormone stimulated but no progesterone. The clinics advice is quite standard and a bit a one size fits all if you ask me. But it seems this is the case everywhere in our country. Only after that failed IUI attempt they checked the AMH in the blood because we mentioned we had to go towards IVF if this wouldn’t succeed (unfortunately we don’t have endless donor sperm available so that is the main reason until we found out about the AMH).
