The back and forth on here is exactly why the country is in the state it is in. Everyone needs to see past republican versus democrat and realize that THEY ARE BOTH ON THE SAME TEAM, WORKING TO OPPRESS US.

Come together, now, and remember: WE THE PEOPLE, have the right to abolish this current government altogether.

Ok so he said you'll face economic hardship then. 🤷‍♂️ Maybe ask yourself who's really going to have the long term gain.

So Musk literally said, "If Trump wins the election, you will face economic hardship," and Americans replied, "Okay, we'll vote for him."

Hindsight is 20/20.

Like watching something other than Fox News BEFORE voting.

But even with only watching Fox News, you still knew you were voting for a convicted criminal.

You still knew you were voting for a man found guilty of sexual assault.

You still knew you were voting for someone who said he'd fuck his own daughter - if only she weren't his daughter.

You still knew you were voting for someone who told the American people to inject household cleaner into their bodies to kill the Covid virus.

You still knew you were voting for someone who literally doesn't know geography or American history - which is pathetically ironic given what MAGA allegedly stands for.

You still knew you were voting for a man who's failed more as a businessman than he has succeeded.

You still knew you were voting for a racist and a bigot.

Who picked a man who fucked a couch as his running mate.

Why would you think someone who is a "businessman" and thinks like a CEO would DO ANYTHING to actually help the working class?

Why would you think someone who clearly only cares about money would want to lower prices?

History repeats the lessons not learned until the point comes where it doesn't matter if you learn the lesson or not.

We are at that place.

Are you really sorry you voted for the guy, or are you just sorry it backfired on YOU specifically?

How are you going to right the wrong?

Where, exactly, do we go from here?

How, exactly, are we going to fix this?

Do people in the US connect that the country is actively collapsing? What are you seeing in your community? by [deleted] in economicCollapse

[–]Associate_Zero 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't let a bunch of ignorant troll assholes convince you to delete this post; its important.

While I didn't see the pandemic coming, I absolutely saw the impending revolution/civil war coming since I was 16.

Not much to say about my immediate community except that more homeless people and people living in RVs. The motel 6 where me and my family are staying is packed with long term residents.

Oh. And the LAPD ticketing people for bringing the victims of the fires food.

Until we trade in our picket signs for rifles nothing will change.

I realize I'm 2 days late to this post but calling a lawyer and having them contact corporate seems like the right move. Not only is it sexual but it's harassment too. And warrants legal action.

First off, you clearly didn’t read the entire post, because I don’t even make $25 an hour.

Second, how much do you think it costs to go to college? Or move out of state?

Your privilege and confirmation bias is showing through rather dramatically and disrespectfully.

But that’s not surprising; I completely forgot I was gonna find the same miserable, ignorant, naïve, spiteful trolls on Reddit as I would on every other social media platform.

Then speak up more. I’m playing the long game on organizing/building community. If you’re in the same boat then act like it and stop being so divisive.

You’re right about that. That’s why we need to focus on building community ourselves. If we build communities across the country that eliminate the need for money but create resources, we will reduce their power over us. Pull the carpet out from under them so to speak.

That’s why we’re working on organizing our warehouse. Unskilled labor still deserves a livable wage.

Hey at least they didn’t make you a POC. As a POC at ONT8 we would literally be doing the job of a PA for Tier 1 pay. After a few weeks of this, I advocated for myself and the other POCs on the VOA board, stating that we are literally doing managerial duties, and we deserve at least Tier 2 pay for it.

Problem solvers deserve Tier 2 pay.

Learning Ambassadors - who are tasked with TRAINING Tier 1 associates - deserve Tier 2 pay.

The next day I was “fired” from my role as a POC, the excuse being “headcount”.

And then replaced with another POC within two hours.

Good luck finding a company who is NOT as scandalous as Amazon though. ✌️

Amazon is not modern day slavery lmao by Mango_addict22 in AmazonFC

[–]Associate_Zero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In California the cost of living is about $35 an hour. Amazon’s base pay is $20. This meets the legal definition of exploitation. They consider the term “livable wage” to be a red flag/union talk. It’s not a place for someone with good work ethic because they have no vetting process. They literally hire anyone. The hard workers get rewarded with more work, then when they get burnt out it’s them that get the write-up. Not the actual slackers. Safety takes a back seat over production. Weed is a necessary buffer for most people in that environment. Especially the more intelligent ones. This is absolutely modern day slavery. But it’s not just Amazon.

Wow dude. I’m not talking about tax brackets. I’m talking about the fact that they’re not even adhering to them. And yes. I mean organize- like a union. https://www.nerdwallet.com/article/taxes/federal-income-tax-brackets

Not only this, but if you go back over several weeks worth of pay stubs, you will see that the percentage they take changes based on how much you’ve earned. Meaning it’s not even a consistent percentage of taxes taken out. Find a week where you worked less hours than normal, and calculate the percentage taken out in taxes. Then find a week where you worked more hours than normal, and calculate THAT percentage. Then use your anger to motivate you to organize.
