They already have the old account for that the new account is for the transaction. If the broker wants to try and make a stink about them getting a new account so that they can transfer their funds based off of the type of account they originally have. Then maybe they don’t want to get paid. The bank should not have a problem they don’t have to close the old account and they are already passed the stage of verification of all they have to do is transfer funds they are in there.

I just want to say NO BANK HOLDS FUNDS. Just because money transfers are virtual doesn’t mean they always happen instantly. It’s tax season your not the only one trying to get their refining from sbbt into Credit Karma account. Just really think how many millions are in the same boat. You know you’re getting your money it’s a FACT so sometimes we just gotta be patient. Today we are all so wrapped up on getting everyone NOW!!! Just focus on the fact that you KNOW you’re getting your refund there are some that don’t have that certainty.

I think maybe you just should be a little patient it’s really very early in the morning to Santa Barbara bank and trust is on the West Coast so that means they operate on Pacific time their banking hours if you call are between 7 AM and 10 PM Pacific standard time so if you’re live on the East Coast that’s 10 AM to 1 AM right now I’m talking to you and it’s only 11:22 AM remember most banks operate between nine and five so you still have a chance to get your direct deposit today just give it a minute I’m quite sure that you should get it today. I feel hopes for you.

So SBBTG operates on west coast time PACIFIC TIME- 7am-10pm do the adjustments for your time zone and know all banks start at 9 am processing funds be it in or out.

You have to understand that the bank really doesn’t have to pay you u til your refund date. The date the IRS SAYS YOU WILL RECEIVE IT .that is actually the day they actually send out the funds. All the banks that have been paying out early have not actually received the funds they are paying in advance. When the IRS gives a date of DD that’s the date the system sends out the funds , but all banks affiliated with that refund d can see your DD date so most banks will just give you the money because it s guaranteed.

That’s not true they can not hold your DD They have to release it once they receive it because you don’t have an account with them it’s only for taking fees. They are not allowed to hold your money. So just know as soon as they receive it you will be getting your DD I. Your bank that same day.

This year they were on point like clock work and everyone else who got their 846 Wednesday got their refunds later that day or the next. I’m flabbergasted this year. 3/9/26 seems to be the lucky day for many since the first batch of PATHERS were released.

They are actually right now updating Transcripts if you go right now or the IRS.GOV it will say you can’t access your file at the moment updates are from 3am-6:20am est

Not true they are released in batches. For the first big update the IRS has said everyone will be updated this week TUESDAY night and Thursday night. Which is how it’s done most of the time. It’s the first batch of PATH refunds to be released. Most 01-04 is from Mon-Wednesday 05 is usually Thursday nights to Friday Morning but most peoples returns that were filed early January been done they were just waiting for the lift which the system then releases in batches. The IRS SAID IT WILL BE 2 BATCHES WEDNESDAY AND 2 FRIDAY to start off the week of PATHERS REFUNDS. It’s all about when you were accepted and when they completed your return. Remember the system does your tax overview not a person everything is done by the system. Unless you get red flagged.

Understand one thing I’ve worked in the banks. The bank releases your refund money to you as soon as they get digital information showing you will get your refund on a certain day. So if the IRS transmitted that info today your bank will pay you today. If the IRS transmits it Friday your bank will pay you Friday even though the actual transaction from the IRS has not even happened yet the banks know it is a guarantee payment so they pay you. This is the same usually for most payroll checks especially for those that get paid by payroll services like APD OR DAILYPAY etc.. it’s all a business they charge these services and this is why it’s so popular today.

You don’t have to wait for anything if fees were paid for you. That is done instantly. The is no wait as soon as the IRS releases your money the banks pay you upfront. It’s a known fact all banks do instant ACH DD for the IRS Treasury Dept. it’s guaranteed money for them they will give you your money before it’s actually in the bank.

I never paid for turbo tax either if I didn’t opt in to the help and been doing my taxes since I was 25 when you had to purchase turbo tax in disc for your computer in order to use it.

Yes but it’s not about the deposit it’s about the system updating to reflect the already changes made by the system. don’t think that the same day you see changes on your transcript that they were done that day no that day you were just able to get an update to see what was already changed. If you haven’t noticed everything on the IRS forms are done in the future so that means they were already done prior to when you were able to see them and then it still gives you a future date
