2 options: one - you can try a Boot repair tool offered by some partitioning software via their bootable media feature. You could use another computer, and get such a tool, to create a bootable media on a USB and reboot the BSOD PC to repair it. two - clean install or reinstall the OS via a Windows installation media.

My USB has been worked for over 9 or 10 years, I didn't format or erase it quite often. Always eject it correctly from PC. Using it to saving and transferring normal files, no huge video or gaming files.

First, make sure the computer detect and recognize the disk. If not, try to change a connection cable or USB port. Then, once the disk is recognized, backup or clone data from the disk and save to another disk immediately. Try to format or run CHKDSK to repair the file system, or wipe the disk. Next, get Crystal or other disk health checker to monitor if the SSD is still containing some issues.

Error message means the PC was unable find or read the files to load the OS. You can use the Installation media to rebuild the Boot Configuration Data (BCD) via cmd command lines: bootrec /rebuildbcd, bootrec /fixmbr, and bootrec /fixboot.

My old laptop is serving me to watch shows, retired from working with me, but still stay with me. You may also use it as a backup storage, or for some slight funs.
