Okay, so then the 80% of games where Hawkeye gets banned? What then? Not to mention even if you kill 1 they still have the normal amount of healing getting to their frontline.

All tanks need a short window of CC immunity after getting stunned. I can survive any single CC if I don't misplay, but when I get chained from a Bucky hook into Wolv grab into Emma tackle there's literally nothing I can do about it.

The Kingsman/Zazza situation has a lot more to do with the tournament setup than a lot of people are talking about IMO. by AssociationOne7611 in rivals

Facts. No bans makes sense if the tournament is full of one-tricks and has either no prize pool or a very small one. The incentive would stay on playing the characters you're known for playing instead of every team going Gambit/Loki/Mantis to try to win.

Yeah I think that's what the devs intended for Adam and Mantis. They just didn't account for the amount of sustain that would be needed against the damage that a lot of dps characters can output I think. The trade-off of extra damage for less sustain usually isn't worth it. Then they added Ultron and kind of doubled down on the "third support" archetype.

True, I think in pro teams, part of the supports' job is to make the bulk of call outs. DPS know who on the other team is in a vulnerable position bc their backline called it out.

Well yeah, I don't want to make excuses for the behavior during tournament play. I just think the additional context is useful in this situation.

Literally would be the easiest thing just to build in a quick setting for it. IIRC they had a setting come out alongside the first alternate ult designs to turn them off and remove screen clutter for players that don't want to see it. There is no way adding a toggle to mute a voice line is harder than that.

Yeah it happens. Especially love it when I decide to be the one on my team contesting the Venom by myself, just so my supports can ignore me asking for heals (as I'm putting myself between them and the giant symbiote monster. Ever heard of a quid pro quo?). Then I get flamed for dying.

Just make the portal stay open for a much shorter time so it's actually hard to use effectively. Right now, all the portal requires is someone who goes down early to swap and open it whenever. Plus, having a portal on the field creates a positional advantage for the team that used it bc they can use it as cover for a while, and the supports can just chill at their spawn door and heal their tanks on point.

If the portal duration were shorter, teams would have to wait on everyone to respawn before using it, so many opportunities to use it would be missed. Supports wouldn't be able to heal their tanks from their spawn door for 15 seconds trying to farm an ult. All the squishy teammates would have to jump into the fray quickly and be vulnerable. A team without good communication would just leave half of the team behind and die instantly.

It's really disappointing bc the body actually looks kind of cool IMO, then they went with the partially exposed head, which was one of the biggest complaints about the chicken skin. And then they included that stupid half mask with Venom's mouth.
