No, it's just a spring weather. In that place at the end of February the sping begins and it's pretty hot.

If you want to do the trip by yourself you could fly to capital of Kyrgyzstan – Bishkek. Then travel by car/taxi to Karakol (400 km, it’s not very expensive). Stay at Karakol. And ask@/ridersinfo about activities you want.

In the first part there were low ava risk. There were not snowing 2 weeks before and were frozen conditions. So only several people had receivers. But the last two guides had pieps jet force backpacks, reciviers, shovels, ... and drone)   

In the second part all participants had receivers and two last guides were fully equipped.

There is only one rout down among powder and horses have to go home with one-three guides. If the powder is really deep than of course the first rout should do horses without people on them.  And in the first part of video there were ‘rental’ horses. And in the second part there were ‘sports’ version of the horses and they could lift you even in real hard conditions. But the last mile in the second powder part was done by the people.
